Conclave New Abilities. ( Hate And Absolutely Love)

Holla splinterlands fam,

You're once again welcome to my blog for this week's social media entry. A lot has been goin with splinterlands this past weeks and as far as I am concerned most of the changes are fascinating ones. As you know by now the conclave arcana is in full force now and if you have any of the older generation cards then it means you'll have to pivot to wild like most people at the moment. But there are many other ways of going about it if you wanna play modern.

First of all you can rent the cards on the rental market. For some people it's pretty expensive to buy the conclave arcana or rebellion cards to participate. I know for some people as well they might have come to the end of their splinterlands journey since the new set will be more expensive to rent at the moment. For now one of my accounts have pivoted to wild fully and I must say that I am not enjoying the wild league. Don't get me wrong, I still have the same feeling playing the game as I was playing in the modern league but the rewards in the wild league and modern league are just too different.

After the conclave arcana announcement I earn about 2-3 sps on the other account where I play wild. The funny thing is I have more than 200k sps delegated to that account and it's currently in diamond II. For the other account where there are conclave arcana and rebellion cards I have earn about 5-7 sps per win in the modern league. I am in Gold II. In that account I have been delegated 75k sps and you can just see how much of a difference that makes. At a point in time you might want to reconsider playing in wild. Another reason for this is that there are a lot of players in the wild league so the rewards is definitely smaller for wild players as the reward is being shared amongst a lot of people.

Today I'll like to talk about some of my favorite abilities of the new set. I have had the chance to play with some of the cards so I can comment on some of them. There are some that I absolutely love and there are some that I hate cause it can be a huge disadvantage to you if you don't consider it.

let's talk about an ability that I don't like. The reckless ability is a new ability which was made with the new conclave arcana. The reckless ability means that each successful attack also deals one true damage to adjacent allies. What this means is that when a card with this ability makes a successful hit your cards that are next to it will also suffer a damage of 1 to it's health. What I have come to appreciate about a card with this kind of ability is that cards with this are very good cards so spl team decided to give it a bit of a negative. The thing is with a card like this you'll have to use it in the first position so that only one card will suffer the reckless damage. If you put it in the middle or anywhere apart from first it means two of your cards will suffer the damage.

Lets get to an ability that I like. The resurgence ability is one card that I like so much too. This ability means it self resurrects once per battle with 100% health and armor. All magic debuffs are removed, and all magic buffs are reapplied. Skips turn and deals 1 physical damage to all enemy units. This is a cool ability to have with any card. What this means is that your card will self resurrect after being killed and come with all its buffs. It'll also cause -1 health to all enemy units will can help you go a long way in battle.

Another nice ability is the bloodline tribute. The bloodline tribute means that when that card is defeated, all allied units of the same bloodline gain +1 health, speed and armor and +1 power to each shared attack type. This is an ability worth the hype.

I've not gotten the chance to use a lot of the CA cards so as time goes on I'll talk about new abilities that I come across.

that reckless is a good ability too if used in the right rule set.

If you use such a card in What doesn't kill you rule, it will enrage your card, and you know what comes with an enraged monster🙂

As you said, playing with the wild format when it comes to earning seems like a good choice. I also love the new reckless ability that came with CA edition cards. These new cards with bloodlines are changing the gameplay entirely.

Yes, I am making 2x less in wild league.

These new cards with bloodlines are changing the gameplay entirely.

but the bloodline thing confuses me a lot. I still need to understand.

Wild league does require a lot of cards to perform well thou, but for old players its a great choice. I also agree that utilising bloodlines is hard as we are brand new to this and brainstorming all the things within the small time frame we get for building lineup, its definitely hard. But with time as we keep learning and gather more experience, it will become easier I think.
