Conclave Arcana Pre-Sale Ended; General Sale Next

Hi splinter fam,

I am here once again with an entry into the splinterlands community contest. Today I am making an entry into the community engagement challenge. Ever since the announcement of conclave arcana pre-sale we have been writing about conclave arcana and this week is no different. Now that the pre-sale has ended the general sale will also also start in a few hours. One might ask, what was all the fuss about a pre-sale if a general sale was going to be conducted?

Let's look at a few things before looking into the question I asked above.
First of all, with the introduction of conclave arcana, it means we will no longer see chaos legion cards in the modern league but we will be able to use chaos legion set alongside older cards in brawls, some tournaments and the wild league. You should remember that there is a however is 2000 Dec wild pass to play in the wild format every season. For some people this 2000 Dec requirement is not a big deal if the return on investment (ROI) is worthy at the end of the season.

This conclave arcana pre-sale has seen the surge of the sps token. It has not been a crazy spike but we have made praise worthy gains. This can be contributed to the fact that a lot of the pre-sale buyers burnt sps for dec in order to buy packs.

So now back to the question.

what was all the fuss about a pre-sale if a general sale was going to be conducted?

Well, with the pre-sale you're guaranteed some pecks when you participate in it. The pre-sale had a leaderboard where buyers had a point system to rank the top buyers and then they'd be given either bonuses, title and other pecks. Also, with the pre-sale you are guaranteed of getting certain cards. For instance in a general set you buy packs at random for the same price. You are guaranteed of getting 5 cards in a pack but you are not guaranteed of the type of cards that you will get. You can be given all five cards and they will be common. You can get a mix of rare, common, epic o legendary. You can also be very lucky to get a gold foil card when you buy a general sale card. But with the pre-sale they have 4 types of cards for common, rare, epic and legendary.

The common packs were the cheapest with the no guarantee of getting a special card. The rare was the second cheapest followed but the rest. The legendary packs were the most expensive with the buyer guaranteed of getting at least one legendary card. Being assure of getting one legendary card is a game changer as you know that the highest chance or possibility of you being able to flip it for profits is high so I think a lot of people didn't go in for the common packs as well. Also I think if you will only buy common packs why not just wait for the general sale where you can be lucky to get cards of high quality cause you won't know if you're buying common packs or legendary packs when it comes to the general sale.

I forgot to add, with pre-sale you also get promo cards according to the number of packs that you purchase. There promo cards are Arcane Skinwalker
and Gramel the Hunger, these are cards which can't be found in the packs but they are peck of participating in the pre-sale as well. For "every pack purchased during the presale period earns progress toward amazing promo cards! Each earned card has a 4% chance to be Gold Foil upon claim, with every 25th card being a guaranteed Gold Foil". We all know how loved gold cards are in splinterlands because of it's high value and also it's pecks.
