Welcome to the blog of Rubilu, the one and yours truly golden crow. I think this introduction is not a cool one but wha ever; let’s use it. This is an entry into the community engagement challenge.

For some reason I seem to like the direction of the engagement challenge. Yes, I know I said that I like it but then I don’t actually like the part where we have to build up a story. If makes it really weird for me when I have to go through the splinter lore site and make up a story which I am not very good at doing.

So today I am sharing my splinterlands journey with you guys. If I am not wrong I joined spl in 2023. I think the exact month was November. I don’t remember the exact day but it’s a day very close to 11th of November. I don’t know why I still remember the month so vividly but then I do. So now that we have that out of the way let me tell you how I discovered spl.

One might think that I discovered spl in November of 2023 but then that’s not true. I discovered spl in 2021 when I joined hive for the first time. When I joined hive I used to make a lot of rounds on the platform. As at that time I was trying to find my nitche so I came across spl but then I didn’t pay much attention to it. In that year i made a few friends on hive who made content about spl most of the time and I used to read their entries and said one day I’ll play it. One thing that stopped me from registering right away was the 10 dollar spell book factor.

As much as I wanted to play the game for fun i also wanted to start earning right away. Even with the 10 dollar fee out of the way I also need to put in some money to earn which I didn’t have.

As at that time the staked sps was not a requirement to earning on spl but then I had to invest in a few cards to make it. Fast forward to 2023 I finally paid the 10 dollars for a spell book and I don’t regret it. In that year, I had a friend who joined spl through another generous friend of mine who supported him in his spl journey.

So when it was time to recruit members for their guild my friend invited us to join. As at the time I was joining the staked sps requirement was a thing and so he delegated me some sps to start my journey. Apart from the sps delegation, he also delegated some cards to us which did help us a lot.

I wouldn’t say I remember my first card vividly but one thing I’ll always remember is my first two lily shield paw cards. I was gifted some chaos legion packs and when I opened it I got two gold lily shield spaw. The irony of the story is that I got this barely a month into playing splinterlands. Man, this was a crazy feel, up until today I still have the screenshot of those two cards.

I’ve been playing spl for close to two years now and all I can say is I’ve improved a lot. I recently made it into champion so I can use that as a base point. I remember the first few weeks of spl for me. It was so difficult for me to get into silver and then when I finally made it to silver it was so hard for me to get into gold and then diamond as well.

I remember that it took me over 6-7 months to get into diamond. But now here i am in champion.

When I started playing at first I used to like using unicorn mustang so much. This only meant that I could only used the magic summoner cause that was what I knew how to use. Not that I have stopped using the magic element but then I can use other elements comfortably as well.

For now I don’t have a lot of goals. For now mu concentration is fully on earning a lot of sps from playing. For now I basically earn 9-11 sps per win but I’ll like it to go higher and higher for me. All this needs to happen if my sps staked /delegation grows. So that’s that for now. Now I am for my own stake to reach a minimum of 30k before this year ends and then we’ll see where we go from there.

So this is it for me for now. This is where mu spl journey is at the moment.
