Are You Ready for the SPS Snapshot for Yaba’s Pickle? | Splinterlands

Hello everyone, I hope everything is going well in your life and you are having a wonderful day. Today is June 17, 2025, and in a few hours, Splinterlands will have another historic moment. After approximately 6 hours, a Snapshot of staked Splintershards (SPS) amount will be taken, which will determine how many copies of Yaba’s Pickle cards each player can purchase. Each player will be eligible to purchase 1 card for per 1,000 SPS staked at the time of the snapshot, and we still have about 6 hours to become eligible to purchase more copies so this might be a good time to stake more SPS.

I currently have 60,444 SPS in stake, which means I can qualify to purchase 60 Yaba’s Pickle cards. My goal was to buy 60 cards so it looks like I achieved my goal. And by combining 60 cards, I will have a level 5 Yaba’s Pickle card.

Meanwhile, those who want to have the top level (level 10) Yaba’s Pickle card need to have 400,000 staked SPS at the time of the snapshot and purchase 400 cards on June 24 to combine.

• Price: 150 DEC or 150 Credits per card

The general sale will begin on June 24th and per card will cost 150 DEC or 150 Credits. According to the current data, it looks like I will be eligible to buy 60 cards, so I will have to pay 9,000 150 DEC or 150 Credits for 60 cards on June 24th. Currently, according to Coinmarketcap data, DEC (Dark Energy Crystals) is trading at $0.0009494. 9,000 DEC is about $8.5 and 9,000 Credits is $9 and 60 Yaba’s Pickle cards will cost me between $8.5 and $9, honestly it’s much more affordable than I expected. I wish I had the chance to buy more cards.

There are many benefits to staking SPS, here are some of them;

Splintershards (SPS) is the official governance token for Splinterlands and has been integrated into the Splinterlands game in order toprovide increased decision-making and control over the product to the player base, asset owners, and other stakeholders. Staked SPS is necessary for all Splinterlands players who want to earn rewards and fully participate in the ecosystem, I am both a player and an investor in Splinterlands, so I put a lot of emphasis on increasing my SPS in stake, in addition to my in-game earnings, I also buy SPS from the market and stake all of them.

The more staked SPS you have, the more rewards you will earn from ranked battles. Also, if you have SPS in Stake you earn SPS and Vouchers as rewards and you can claim your staking rewards at any time. If you are not an active player, you can rent them out. As you can see, there are opportunities as well as conveniences in Splinterlands. Also, you can earn COLONY by staking GLX and SPS rewards. And in some periods, like today, those with staked SPS may be eligible to purchase great cards. As I said above, there are many benefits to SPS staking, in my opinion it is the easiest way to earn more rewards.

Yaba’s Pickle

Yaba's Pickle gains the Dodge ability at level 3, the Shield ability at level 5, the Slow ability at level 8, and the Heal ability at level 10. Yaba's Pickle only costs 4 mana. It is a very special card that can be used in both low mana and high mana battles, so I have no doubt that it will be one of my favorite cards after adding it to my deck. And I can't wait until June 24th to buy it. Who knows, maybe I'll get the Gold Foil or Black Foil one.
