HEALTH REGEN IS OP !!

Hello Everyone! Hope you're all are doing great and welcome to another Splinterlands post!

Today, I’m really excited to share my latest adventure in Splinterlands, and honestly, it’s been one of my best gaming days so far. I was experimenting different builds and suddenly came across this OP Health Regen build using Earth element cards. I will share one of my battles with this build.

These are the Earth element units that I've been using recently:

However, my main build consisted of Wizard of Eastwood as Summoner, Unicorn Mustang, Oaken Behemoth, Mycelic Slipspawn, Runemancer Florre, Wood Nymph and Failed Summoner.

Rulesets and Mana-Cap

The following were the Rulesets and the Mana-Cap was 95:

Noxious Fumes Holy Protection

  • Noxious Fumes: All units start the battle poisoned.

  • Holy Protection: All units have Divine Shield (ignores all damage once, after which the Divine Shield is destroyed).

Mana Cap

As you can see, the rulesets were a bit worrying. Because my units will take damage each round due to the Noxious Fumes ruleset . However, they can ignore the first damage due to the Holy Protection ruleset, so that's good. I chose my units and strategy, keeping the rulesets in mind. I didn't worry about the mana-cap because it was too high so I could pick any unit I want.

Units Setup

My picks in this battle were:

  • Summoner: Wizard of Eastwood

  • Line-up:

    First Position: Unicorn Mustang

    Second Position: Oaken Behemoth

    Third Position: Mycelic Slipspawn

    Fourth Position: Runemancer Florre

    Fifth Position: Wood Nymph

    Sixth Position: Failed Summoner

Each choice and each unit that I picked was intentional. I picked Wizard of Eastwood as my summoner because it decreases the enemy team's armor by 2, so I'll only have to worry about their health.

Unicorn Mustang was my first position because it's a very solid starter. It has really high health, melee damage and speed. Not only that, It has 3 really good abilities that makes it literally unkillable. It is the main unit in this build because it cannot die that easily due to health regen given by Wood Nymph's ability. It regens each round. Plus, it has 1 extra health because of Failed Summoner's ability.

My second position is Oaken Behemoth. It's an incredible unit because it can deal both melee and magic damage. Not only that, it also has really impressive stats with 11 health and whopping 5 abilities.

My third position is a tank/support unit. It's name is Mycelic Slipspawn. It draws the attacks of the enemy units with the taunt ability. Furthermore, it slows all the enemy units with it's Slow ability.

My fourth position is kind of a special unit. It's name is Runemancer Florre. It's special because it has no abilities however it has really impressive stats. It can deal both Magic and Ranged attack. On top of that, it has 14 health and 4 speed.

My fifth position is a support unit. It's name is Wood Nymph. Because of this unit my Unicorn Mustang doesn't die. It heals my first position each round by using it's ability called Tank Heal.

Last but not least, my last position is also a support unit. It's name is Failed Summoner. It decreases the melee power of all enemy units and increases the health of all my units with it's abilities. So, it's a really good addition to my team.

Opponent and the Battle

My opponent also went with Earth units. They started with Immortalis as Summoner. Their team consisted of Pelacor Mercenary, Coeurl Lurker, Ancient Redwood, Nectar Queen, Runemancer Florre and Mycelic Slipspawn. As you can see, my opponent's team is also pretty strong. Their summoner also decreases the health of my units by one point so that's also concerning.

Below are some screenshots of the battle.

BATTLE LINK

As you can see, it's round 4 and my Unicorn Mustang is still alive, thanks to Wood Nymph's healing and Failed Summoner's ability. While, the entire enemy team is almost gone.

And there you have it! In round 5, my Unicorn Mustang dealt the final blow and won me the battle. My support units did really well in this battle. If it wouldn't have been for them then my Unicorn Mustang was dead long ago.

What I Learned

  • Flexibility wins. Having a plan is really important.

  • Synergy Matters. My summoner and units' abilities helped each other, the buff chain made a big difference. If I’d picked mismatched monsters I’d have struggled.

Conclusion

Having won this match, my next goal is to climb the league ladder further while maintaining this adaptive approach. I’ll focus on acquiring or renting monsters that fit this style. Also, I’ll experiment with different summoners under similar rulesets to see which bring the best synergy for me.

That’s all for this post! I’ll be back with another one soon, so stay tuned and follow my Splinterlands journey.
