Archons & Bloodlines - A Big Change!

One change of direction that the Splinterlands developers took in this Arcane Conclave set was to rebrand the summoners as Archons, bringing more player identification as the battlemages who summon the units for ranked battles, tournaments, and brawls against their opponents. Due to the issue of bloodlines that we will talk about next, players will certainly have their favorite strategies and their favorite Archos to play, because there will be something iconic in each one.

In addition to the issue of Lore and identification, there will be an addition in these archos that will have a great impact on the structure of the Splinterlands game itself, which is the Bloodline Dominion, which will allow the summoners of a “class” be it Dwarves, Orcs, Elves, Ulund or Gnomes, to summon units that have the same bloodline as them, regardless of the element, and also guarantee buffs for their class. This will be a BIG paradigm shift within the game, because until now the elements defined clear limits on which cards you could use, with some exceptions such as dragon, neutral and dual elements.

Will Black Foils and Arcane Impact the Card Market?

Black foil cards are theoretically rarer than Gold Foils because of their benefits, such as the 20% bonus reward in ranked battles, half the cooldown time of Gold Foils in Survival Mode - a recent game mode that has become a favorite among players -, and having a point multiplier for Lands of 5x the same as Beta cards, which have one of the highest multipliers.

All these additional advantages that the card will have, together with the fact that it is a new type of card with its unique black background design and has a higher rarity than gold foil cards, could have an impact on the Splinterlands collectibles market. Until now, gold foil cards and cards from older sets were the cards that collectors and long-term investors sought to pursue, within the possibilities of Splinterlands cards.

However, with the arrival of a higher rarity, Black Foil, and the Arcane numbered cards that will only have a few dozen units, it could make collectors change their focus.

So, as one user mentioned in the comments of the splinterlands post, it is very likely that the prices of Gold Foil cards and also Regular Foil cards will fall because the capital of investors and card collectors will be directed to these new cards (Black Foil and Arcane). Uma mudança de caminho que os desenvolvedores do Splinterlands tomaram nesse set do Conclave Arcana foi de realizar o rebranding dos summoners para Archons, trazendo mais a identificação dos jogadores como os battlemages que invocam as unidades para batalhas nas rankeds, torneios e brawls contra os seus oponentes. Devido até mesmo à questão da bloodlines que vamos falar em seguida, certamente os jogadores terão as suas estratégias favoritas e seus Archos favoritos de jogar, porque haverá algo icônico em cada um.

Além da questão de Lore e de identificação, haverá nesses archos uma adição que vai trazer um grande impacto na estrutura do jogo Splinterlands em si, que é a Bloodline Dominion, que vai permitir com que os sumomners de um “classe” seja ela Dawrves, Orcs, Elves, Ulund ou Gnomes, invoquem unidades que tenham a mesma bloodline deles, independente do elemento e além disso garantir buffs para a sua classe. Essa será uma mudança de paradigma GRANDE dentro do jogo, porque até então os elementos definiam limites claros de quais cartas você poderia utilizar, com algumas exceções como dragão, neutral e dual elementos.

Assim, aos poucos essa barreiras está recebendo mais flexibilidades trazendo mais variações, imprevisibilidade e diversão ao jogo. Essas mudanças cada vez mais frequentes podem fazer com que essa coleção seja uma das mais fortes.

Black Foils e Arcane vão Impactar o Mercado de Cartas?

As cartas black foil são teoricamente mais raras que as Gold Foils por conta dos seus benefícios, como o bônus de 20% de recompensa nas batlhas rankeadas, metade do tempo de cooldown das Gold Foils no Survival Mode - um modo de jogo recente que se tornou um dos favoritos dos jogadores -, e ter um multiplicador de pontos para as Lands de 5x igual o das cartas Beta, que tem um dos maiores multiplicadores.

Todas essas vantagens adicionais que a carta terá, unidas à questão dela ser um tipo de carta nova no seu design único de fundo preto e ter uma raridade maior que as gold foil, pode trazer um impacto para o mercado de colecionáveis do Splinterlands. Até então, as cartas gold foil e de coleções mais antigas eram as cartas que os colecionadores e investidores de longo prazo buscavam ir atrás, dentro das possibilidades de cartas do splinterlans.

Entretanto, com a chega de uma raridade superior que é Black Foil e as cartas numeradas Arcane que só terão algumas dezenas de unidade pode fazer com que os colecionadores mudem de foco.

Assim, como um usuário mencionou nos comentários da postagem do splinterlands, é bem provável que os preços das cartas Gold Foil e também das Regular Foil caiam porque o capital dos investidores e colecionadores de cartas vai ser direcionado para essas novas cartas (Black Foil e Arcane). Só que por serem um ativo de quantidades bem restritas, no caso da Arcana algumas dezenas, pode ser que o impacto seja pequeno já que há um limite e não haverá uma inflação de cartas.

Ainda, como a chance de pegar essas cartas está nos packs, os grandes compradores que vão ter acesso à essas cartas e podem não vendê-las no mercado, fazendo com que a opção das Gold Foils continue sendo o foco de quem não foca nos packs. Mas é bem provável que haja alguma queda, já que se não houvessem essas novas raridades de carta, o foco deles seria exclusivo das Gold Foils e Regular Foil de coleções mais antigas.
