Splinterlands LAND, HUGE SPS harvest costs...

Correct me if I am wrong (I may be!) but it's VERY expensive to harvest SPS now, based on the current DEC prices of Wood, Grain and Stone.

I have converted most of my plots to those three base resources, but kept one SPS plot for comparison... VERY EXPENSIVE harvest costs ATM....

SPS Harvest costs

Approx 180 DEC or around 14 cents to harvest 1.2 SPS, so that's $0.14 for $0.06 worth of SPS, very approximately!

Wood, Stone, or Iron...?

Stone gets it I think!

WOOD -0.005 Production rate per hour...

STONE - 0.002

Stone is produced at 2/5 the rate of Wood so if there was equivalent exchange with wood I'd expect to get 187*5/2 = 467.5 DEC, so at 624 DEC for 1000 Stone, stone is more profitable!

IRON - 0.0005

Iron is produced at 1/10 the rate of wood, so if there was equivalence I'd expect to get

187*10 = YOWSWER, exactly the same! So there is equivalence between Iron and Wood!

Final thoughts..

EVENTUALLY all of this will balance out, but it's not worth harvesting either research or SPS ATM.

So I've paused all my SPS and RESEARCH production for now to focus on the big three.

I'll keep an eye on the exchange rates there is literally no point harvesting SPS if you can just sell Wood and stone and iron for more, but I think pretty shortly, within 1-2 weeks things will level out so that SPS is profitable certainly on occupied plots with that 100% bonus.

And I'll put research huts back on the magical lands but with reduced PP to take advantage of the 100% bonus there.

But for now it's all about the three bases!

Your Occupied and Magical are producing raw materials now? Interesting.., I haven't harvested any of mine.., its too expensive. They could be switched back I suppose?

It only takes 24 hours to switch and 500 grain.... Once it all levels out I'll swtich them back, it makes sense to make the most of the 100% bonus, but I'll reduce the PP. I had all my leg Betas on SPS and RESEARCH prior, now I'll probs put them on base resources and have much lower PP on SPS and RES, but long term defo best to max the 100% bonus on occupied and magic just with lower base PP.

I pulled a load of mine last night inc a Magic-Fire Legendary Ore producer.., can get them on resources later.

Research especially isn't worth it, I did hedge a little and just pause some rather than transferring them over, should have done the later and just converted everything.

I got this about 40% right overall I think! Now at 85%

Research,.., it probably will benefit players and as I am no longer one of those, it can go.

It currently costs MORE to harvest SPS than to just sell the wood, stone etc. so switch!

I've been switching mine to resources too. Still a few more today.

Are you going to sell your excess resources, hoard them or put them in the LPs?

I'm dumping everything for a week, maybe two or three, it's basically DEFI, no point pooling as you'll probably end up with IL.

I started swapping my resources for DEC a few hours a go and will probably continue until the prices drop.

I think all of Praetoria just ground to a halt as they re-align to become net neutral...

But me... I'm just a poor old farmer... with all this surplus Grain... whatever shall I do...

I switched my SPS and Research over to their base resource production, as you say, simply not worth missing out on the resource production just now. I'm loading my resources into the LPs for now, I might as well stockpile them there and earn a bit extra

I'm dumping the lot for DEC, the only way is down for the price of all those base resources.
