I'm about a mile away from being able to vote Green!

I was surprised to see in a recent news article that the Green Party has a reasonable chance of winning two rural seats in addition to its usual Brighton seat.

And one of these is in North Herefordshire....

Here are the voter intentions....

Which, annoyingly, starts around a mile north of where I live!

Unfortunately in my own constituency of South Herefordshire, Labour is the option to get the Torys out!

According to Tactical Vote my own constituency is a marginal seat, currently Tory, but Labour is the option.

This is something of a surprise that it's marginal... A massive 61.7% of the constituency voted for Tories last time, and we'd need a 20% swing purely to Labour to make sure the Tories lose. Personally I can't see this happening with the vote in 2019 being split fairly evenly between Labour and the Lib Dems.

I can't see the greens winning in North Herefordshire TBH either...

I mean we'd need MORE of a swing and this time towards the greens... they must REALLY have got their act together in the last four years to be the second place viable anti-Tory candidates this time around, the stats from 2019 are VERY similar to South Herefordshire, albeit with the greens getting 9% compared to 5% of the vote!

Note there A LOT of 'don't knows' in that polling intentions chart above!

But whatever, a chance is a chance and it's worth a punt. And It'd still be nice to vote green by proxy!

I may have to do a vote swap....

I mean I was going to vote Labour this time around anyway, but I usually vote Green. Given the local connection I can probably find someone to swap with... There are plenty of Labour voters up North, I just need to find one to swap my vote for, every little helps.

Be nice to see a few more Green MPs, the planet needs all the help it can get!

Greens have been getting trounced in the EU recently, interesting that they seem to be doing okayish in the UK.

I wondered if that was near you. I wonder how many people plan to vote tactically. I would vote Green if it could make any difference, but we are in what has been a safe Tory seat. I'm not sure there are so many of those now. If I were in Clacton I might have to consider voting Tory to keep Farage out. I despise him. I do like this guy though.

Election night will definitely be interesting and there will be surprises.

I don't think labour are gonna end up with such a massive majority - imagine voting Tory to keep Reform out what a choice! X

Too much power can be a bad thing, but it's really swung around since last time.
