What Is Your Favorite Splinterlands Card?

Cerberus.png

It's not easy being a three-headed dog. The constant bickering, biting and slobbering are always a distraction, and the heads can rarely agree on anything. When summoned to battle, these giant dogs present a fury of claw, flame and fang that is difficult for any monster to get past. Image and Lore taken from the official Splinterlands site.

The title of this post poses the question: What is your favorite Splinterlands card? I'm sure by now you might know what my pick is. If not its the beast known as Cerberus. As the lore describes and image so amazingly displays. Cerberus is a three headed dog that when called to battle is a difficult task for any other unit to handle. At level one this beast has five heart and three speed with a hit of two. Those stats are up there with any other but when you compiled them with the heal ability you have a RARE tank that is hard to be toppled by any other from its time and beyond. A MAX level Cerberus has a health of nine and speed of five. Its attack at MAX level increases to four. When you compile those stats with its heal ability given at level one and its retaliate ability given at level five this is one powerful card to be strolling around with the other Rare's of its nature. However as awesome as all of that is those are not the only reasons that Cerberus is my favorite card from the Splinterlands universe. The artwork itself is top notch. So now with me telling what my favorite Splinterland card is I pose you two questions. The first being, What is your favorite Splinterlands card? The second question being, Why is such a card your favorite? Is it the artwork, is it the play-ability, perhaps there is no reason that you can point out. Its simply just is. What-ever the case might be sound of in the comment section. We here at at the @rentmoney blog would like to hear all about your Splinterlands journey including your favorite card or possibly set of cards (Set variant, element, design, ect).

Cerberus is of the RARE brand and belongs to the Fire element. You can find this beast of a card among the Alpha and Beta collections. A level one Beta will currently cost you $0.276 but there are only two at around that price range. Just a few more can be found for $0.31 or there-about. In total there is just seven of these cards (Beta Version) on the market for sale. A Max Beta Cerberus is going to cost you at least $33.50 USD (115 Combined Level Ones) and there is only two available at that price or there-about. The ask price quickly jumps to $121.44 after just two sales. If we take a look at the Alpha version a level one Cerberus has a cost range of $1.739 - $1.89 and there is only five on the market. A max level Alpha version of Cerberus will cost you $157 USD and there is only one listed at this price. The only other Alpha Max Level Cerberus is listed for the price of $165 USD. Max levels for Alpha Rare cards contain 86 Level One Cerberus cards. If we do a little math we will learn that paying $157 USD for a MAX Alpha Cerberus would mean paying $1.826 per combined card (CC/ Card Count). This is on par with what a Level One Alpha currently costs. Considering there are only five Level one Cerberus for sale its not likely you are able to quickly attain 86 Level One Cerberus cards to combine to make yourself a MAX card. Which I find to be an interesting note to make. Does this make the Level One's more valuable or does this fact make the MAX card more valuable? My answer to both those questions is: Yes and Yes, there will be a time neither will be available!

It's difficult to pick a favorite, there are so many. It also differs depending on favorite for winning battles or favorite based on lore and aesthetics.

I'd say Yodin or Almo Cambio for winning battles. As far as looks, first that jumps to mind is Phantom of the Abyss.

So very true. Cerberus was my original favorite so I always name him as such but there are many amazing cards to choose from for different reasons.

All great choices.

For me it's hard to pick an all time favourite regarding the artworks and stuff like that,because I think there are loads of great card designs.
When looking at the gameplay and abilities, I tend to have new favourites with every set, since I mostly play modern and the meta there keeps changing.

Currently Kaylia Silverleaf is my favourite Archon. The -1 magic attack is great in many battles, since magic attack is very strong in general so it's good to counter it a little bit. In addition to that, I really like the Bloodlines mechanic and the execute ability can turn many cards into absolute beasts.

There is certainly plenty of awesome cards to choose from and more yet to come. Thanks for sharing your current favorites with us. Magic has always been a beast in game and having a card that hands out -1 magic attack is a good choice. All the best on the modern battle-field.

Exploding dwarf is probably my pick. It's such a fun card to play, especially when you want to go YOLO! I miss playing it, another one relegated to the bot heaven wild mode has become.

In the OG days my favorite was the Exploding Dwarf. I remember placing him in first position and hoping that combined with a fast lineup I would win before my opponent knew what hit them. Once or twice I defeated my opponent before any of their cards got a chance to attack.

Currently, my favorite card is Halfling Refugee. It is a neutral Rebellion reward card. For just 1 mana it is incredible with a lot of versatility. Lots of health plus self-heal and a decent melee attack. I work it into almost all of my small and medium mana battles.

Exloding Dwarf is a fun card.

One Mana cards are also a good choice;
especially in small to medium mana matches.
