Chaos Packs Are Worth More Today Vs. Three+ Years Ago

I bet you are shaking your head right now? Thinking to yourself (Self: No-way @rentmoney believes that noise). Are you also thinking my title is click-bait? If I read such a title I might think so but its not. Alright, I can't tell a fib. Not to you here on the Hive Blockchain. Not to you here reading the @rentmoney blog. The title in truth does have a little click-bait intention but just a splash of click-bait sprinkled on top of TRUTH. Before I give you the numbers to prove such a claim lets take a look at today's CHAOS pack market found on Hive-Engine and/or Tribaldex. As of 10/21/2025 CHAOS Legion is selling for 30 USD Cents. Put another way 2.18 Hive Tokens. Today's 24hr volume has reached $541 in trades. Which to some might not seem like much but @rentmoney is more than satisfied with such a number. The most positive thing about the orders shown below (in my eyes) is the Buy/ Ask are very close to each other. This means the market for CHAOS is very clearly showing at what entry price CHAOS packs are currently valued. Which is the price shown on both sides (2.18 Hive Tokes: 0.30 USD). Lets Take A Look At The Trades

Alright now for the fun part. The part where I show you that today's CHAOS trade value is the same trade value paid in 2022. Lets get the obvious out of the way first. Fiat Value: $4.00 USD was the original FIAT value of CHAOS packs when purchased directly from Splinterlands. Side note: in 2022 purchasing directly from Splinterlands using bulk purchases garnered bonus packs. The first level being a 10% bonus for 100 Pack purchase. The second level being 15% for a 500 Pack purchase. The third level being a 20% bonus for a 1000 Pack purchase. So in this example one CHAOS pack would cost $4.00 USD at the time they were available directly from Splinterlands. Of course $4.00 USD is not equal to $0.30 USD so how do I come to the conclusion that today's CHAOS Packs are the same price as they were 3+ years ago? You will have to keep reading to find out. I'd like to bring to your attention the following. On the date of 01/19/2022 if we were to go to secondary pack markets such as Tribaldex and/or Hive-Engine to purchase CHAOS packs the trade would cost 1.88 Hive on the Buy side and 1.97 Hive on the ask side per CHAOS pack. Just as I typed that out the Buy order entry point for CHAOS on today's date (10/21/2025) jumped to 2.25 and the Ask side of the CHAOS market jumped to 2.309. Bringing today's Fiat trade value of CHAOS packs up to $0.32+ USD. The sale's volume increased to $641. Watching CHAOS value increase and trade volume increase as I typed this out was a much welcomed experience. But lets get back on topic. Now that I got your attention I will say that I might of fibbed a little more than I lead on. It is true that CHAOS isn't worth the same today as its trade value from 3+ years ago. In fact its worth MORE. You see we are on the HIVE blockchain and the currency here is HIVE. If we take today's HIVE value per CHAOS pack (2.30) and minus 2022 CHAOS trade value (1.97) we get a profit of 0.33 Hive Tokens per CHAOS Pack. I'll give you a moment to let that sink in :)
