Any Given Tuesday... Conflicts Appear! #Splinterlands

So, I was carelessly browsing my tabs and fancied for a couple of matches of Splinterlands. I clicked on the tab and something was going on... Maintenance messages, update... I F5'ed it and HEY, WAIT! :

Conflicts have finally arrived! If you are familiar with Splinterlands you already know what it is, but for the TL;DR or the "Please ELI5 me on that" I will define as:

Conflicts are the new airdrop mechanic designed for the Rebellion Expansion. It consist on seasons of 30 days in which you can "stake" unopened Rebellion Packs and Rebellion cards that grants you chances at pulling a promotional card, and smaller chances of getting it Gold Foil.

I was able to get 70 Rebellion packs, 50 in the presale and 20 later, so I had my 70 packs ready, along with some nice purchases of Rare Gold cards to help rein that cart. (The cart costs 50 $VOUCHER and it is a lifetime purchase that can be usable in the future, as per the devs) So here it is my final, first, pioneer cart to help fight in this conflict! :

I did some quick calculations and those 11,500 / HR Contribution will generate me about 40% chances to get the airdropped card. Wish me luck!
After 30 days, the "Incursion" will be over and we will be able to craft another raid in order to aim for the next Airdrop card.
If all goes well, I will try next month to craft a second Wagon and try to aim for it.

Below I have put a what is cool / What not about this mechanic. Of course, everybody is free to think different, but this is my opinion:

• COOL : This is a nice mechanic that avoids the speculation made in previous promo airdrops in Chaos Legion

• NOT COOL: To lock about $300 value in Splinterlands assets and not reaching even a 50% chances of scoring an airdrop card.

So this is it, I would say that even if you don't have unopened packs, stack some 5 cards and buy a wagon for 50 voucher and let Lady Luck do her thing! 😎
