Neon Strike - Double HP Delegation Rewards!

It has been about a month since I updated on my progress in Neon Strike. You can read about my earlier posts:

As always, it's good to review and take stock of projects that I am involved once in a while and a monthly frequency seems to be a good timeframe. Of course, before I begin, special thanks to @jim-crypto and @taradraz1 for making this post possible, because without them, I wouldn't have a chance to try out Neon Strike, which I believe is currently in the Alpha phase.

For the big news this month, there were some changes made to the reward of NEON tokens. While posts will no longer get NEON tokens, they have actually doubled the HP delegation rewards!

For every 10 HP delegation, the weekly NEON tokens have increased from 21 NEON to 42 NEON. Based on the current price, if my math is correct, the APR is at a whooping 57%!

As for whether the high APR will hold up, it depends on the price of NEON of course.

Before we go into the discussion of the game, let's look at the Leaderboard!

This month, I have maintained my 28th place. Not too bad for someone who has logged in almost everyday to complete the missions with my 2 NFTs. It's nice to see new things pop up every now and then, while the development of the game not as fast as some games, they do have a working product in place and the progress is slow and steady.

Now onto my personal journey in the game itself!

To recap, I was given a complimentary NFT to try out this game, I have been playing this almost everyday! And after a few weeks, here's my early review. Initially, I think this was going to be a complicated game that required a lot of thinking (think Splinterlands) but I quickly realised that it's a very chill game. With my sole NFT, most of the effort can be done with a few clicks.

There's an Omega tier card on sale! Wow! I always thought Legendary is the highest, but now there's Omega! 43 power at Level 1 is very strong but at 99 Hive, it's pretty expensive in my view.

My Journey So Far

After 9 months of playing almost everyday, my NFTs are up to Level 17 (last update: Level 15) and Level 10 (last update: Level 9) respectively.

It's very satisfying to look back and see how far I have come with my account. I started with just 1 NFT and then earned enough Hive to purchase a 2nd NFT (Legendary one!), and now I have 2 NFTs completing missions on a daily basis for me.

Am excited to see what's coming up for the game later on, in the mean time, happy to continue grinding and accumulate more NEON and Hive so that I can purchase more Missions and NFTs if there is a need.

Click To Earn?

So the question is, how much can one earn through this click to earn game? Let's look at the current prices on Tribaldex. Not much changes to the price of NEON since the last update, which is good actually, especially since Hive has increased substantially. One month ago, 100 NEON was trading at 0.30 to 0.35 Hive. Today, the same 100 NEON is trading at 0.26 to 0.39 Hive. A little lower but still very decent in price stability compared to most of the Layer 2 tokens, given that it has already been 9 months.

After about 8 months of playing, I have earned about 15,400 NEON tokens, of which 700 NEON tokens went into the purchase of Mission 2, to collect NEON at a faster rate in the future. That's about 14,700 NEON tokens left. I have converted most of them into SWAP.HIVE.

For record purposes, I have accumulated about 60 Hive from the divestment of NEON tokens, which is already above the cost of 25 Hive for the Legendary NFT. In addition, these NFTs do have their values if I were to sell them on the market next time. :P

As you could probably see, this is not a get rich quick game (no games are like that), but the little NEON tokens stack up over time and it gives me flexibility to do things on Hive, be it buying missions in the game, or even converting and powering up my Hive Power. And I like that as the level of the NFT goes up, the rate of earning NEON is much faster too!

With that, I hope that gives a rough idea of how the game works, and what to expect from a returns perspective. Do note that the game is still in Alpha phase so perhaps more stuff will appear too. Will share more if I find anything interesting later on. If you have any tips, let me know too!
