Sleep Music!

Alright, so today let us talk about Sleep! Yes, sleep! Sleep, can be associated to music you got that right!

Now this is something really close and personal to me. Why? Because I have sleeping problems, insomnia! I literally can stay awake the entire night till I unfortunately witness the sunrise! Yes, it is fascinating at times but then it ain't so when you know you have to wake up and focus the next day, and you are just helplessly laying there hoping that you can nod off but the truth is, you can't...

Music Remedy

So now, music can bring about a wealth of benefits, well as long as not heavy metal or sort for a pre sleeping ritual (you get what I mean right?)

So music has been labelled by scientist to be able to achieve the following benefits (but not limited to)

1. Reduce Nervous System Activity
2. Decrease Anxiety
3. Decrease Blood Pressure
4. Reduce Heart and Respiratory Rate
5. Increase physical and mental relaxation

So with all these, it actually aids you to sleep well and sound. Of course, this would be even more ideal if there are external environment such as cool temperature and a nice comfy bed, all to increase the state of relaxation.

I mean, it will not be helpful if you play this and consciously try to stay awake. This is meant to aid sleep, not some hypnotic music that forces you to sleep.

That being the case, let us put it this way. I tend to listen to Yiruma's songs to sleep, and reserve this for the most dire of situation. That being the case, Weightless have yet to disappoint me. To put things into perspective, I have yet to listened to the end of the clip, and I always doze off mid way, somewhere somehow. So yea, the next time you are stuck sleepless, try this!
