Staked SPS multiplier for ranked match is now implemented | New player should understand

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Social Media Challenge's Session. Today I would like to share about new rules for ranked match which having multiplier reward based on the SPS staked. Let's see the match !

Ranked Match System

If you already play splinterlands before, you must notice that every league has it own collection power (CP) to enter the league, beside the rating that should be passed. Now there is no CP barrier for you guys to be able to jumpt into higher league, so you just need to get the rating into the league requirement and you can move into higher league at that moment. But there is something new that is implemented from the dev, which is the SPS staked multiplier for reward on the ranked match.

The complete guide is on their post in here. In short, you need to stake certain ammount of SPS to get the reward multiplier, and believe me, you will get almost nothing if you don't stake enough SPS ! How much SPS you need to stake ? Here is the table from official splinterlands post :

You can see your multiplier on the battle section on splinterlands's site:

Even that ther is a huge ammount of SPS needed, but no problem because now you can rent them by using the market on the spliterlands site :

First you need to click that manage button beside the multiplier and league information

Second chose the rent button on the bottom right

Now set how many sps you want to rent and the price you willing to pay, current price is aroun 0,.008 DEC/SPS/day (you can check it regularly on SPS rent section), and you can splt your rental to makes it easier to filled out, but just up to 10x split, and there is 1 DEC cost for each of it, so splitting it will increase your cost as well.

More Barrier for New Player ?

It is my concern that many new rules are such a barrier for new players to play for splinterlands. You need to be as simple as possible to get new people join the game, but let's take a look at Splinterlands right now, in order to earn reward in the ranked match, you need to :
#1. Use own or rented cards;
#2. Staked high ammount of SPS;
#3. Fight against soulbound cards that they can't have except with grinding, brawling, and luck when open the gladius.

Those 3 are the main barrier in my oppinion, because rental system might be new for some people, and you need to do that to earn, and the league might be hard for newbie when you get yourself battling against quora, which you can't rent.

But yeah, i wish that people that interesting are really wan't to go through all proccess needed, i recommend they could play schoolarship account (if they open for newbie), so they can get used to the game before spending money on the game.

Move to lower league might be great option

I saw my friend upload his screenshot on winning the match on bronze league and got more SPS reward than mine on silver I ! Yeah, the multiplier is real , and you need to calculate how much you spent and how you will get, so if lower league offers higher reward, why not ?

Conclussion

Splinterlands implement new rules where SPS staked have reward multiplier effect on ranked match reward (SPS and reward point), but you can rent the SPS if you can't afford to buy it. It might create greate effect on SPS utility and price, but might be another barrier for new players to join the game. Everyone need to re calculate their rent cost and drop into lower league might be great option to start with the new rules and getting best formulas.

depend on how you want to play, there is some hard meta but cost a lot, or try getting cheaper card and use it to beat enemies based on the ruleset with your strategy

If you willing to pay just for play, it won't complicated, but if you trying to get profit, then you have to do some calculation (cost for rent card and sps with the reward you might get)

I think it will be tricky for new players to understand this new mechanisme. I have to admit that I struggle a bit myself and I play the game for very long :-). Nice post!
