On Splinterland games, strategy is a key. There are many abilities available, and with right combination, we can get even more powerfull effect to beat our enemies. Some abilities need a specific combination to work, while the other can work alone but can be improved with the synergy.

Weapon Training and It's Synergy

One ability that need a specific combination is the weapon training ability. Why ? because this ability is giving an attack type and power to adjacent units that have no attack, so you need a non attacking units and power them up with those new attack. There is many monsters with no attack, but I have some favourite monsters to combine with.

For the Light Element, Pelacor Conjurer is my favourite. Not just because he only cost 2 mana which makes him easily fit on any mana cap, but his tank capability is great as well. With flying ability and high speed, he can evade many low speed attacker. Against the magician, he also can be usefull with the magic reflect and phase ability, and if you combine with the GM Rathe as summoner, his reflect magic will deal even more damage !

At the back, this monster can be a great option, because he can help protect the team mates while dealing the damage.

This neutral monster can be another option with the repair armor ability to help the team regain their armor.

For the neutral, this legendary monster is my favourite, because he is very great against magician with the void ability, plus the high health point that is supported by the heal, he can survive till the end if it's against magician !

On the back, this ultra supportive monster is my best choice. Not just repairing armor, merdaali guardian also giving the tank healing each round ! Now the Baakjira is getting twice healing each round !

For the death element, riftwing is the ideal for the front with the flying and backfire ability to hurt back any physical monster that miss their attack. This monster also having the scavenger ability to bulk his health point after each eliminated monsters.

On the back, this monster can be the option with the ability to reduce enemies health point, and the silence to reduce magic damage.

Battle Example

Now let's move into the battle example. You can watch the battle on https://splinterlands.com/battle/sl_e0f7709fdf159af4293ff50e4af3d944 , but I will also share it here.

No one is eliminated at the 1st round after both team sharing damage. My weapon master and it's given magic attack units have less power against oshanus that having void ability.

At 2nd round, my Katie manage to eliminate 1 magician from my enemy. Meanwhile, my team still complete but my taunt units nearly eliminated.

At 3rd round, my taunt monster is eliminated, meanwhile my enemies still with 5 monsters.

Now Katie is manage to eliminate another magician from enemies side. My team still with 5 monsters here.

Now it's my tanker that got eliminated at the 5th round. My enemies still with 4 cuse there is healer that help the oshanus.

Katie once again play important part by eliminating enemies support. Now it's 3-3 situation.

Things look bad for my team as we left with 2 monster left while the enemies having 3 monsters.

Now it's 2-2 situation after the range monster on the back is eliminated by Katie.

Still on 2-2 situation.

Now Katie is the only left on my team. Looks bad cause oshanus is having the forcefield which nerf Katie damage into just 1 !.

After a long fight and luck cause Katie managed to dodge many damage, it's ended with 1-1 situation.

Finnally, I managed to win the match !

Conclussion

Synergy is a part of strategy on Splinterlands that can give major boost for certain ability or monsters. Weapon training is one of the ability that is very depended on Synergy, with some monsters is very suitable to be used beside the weapon training. With right synergy, victory is become easier to achieved !
