Splinterland's: Starting my Conclave Arcana journey.

I do not participate in the Conclave Arcana presale because "Starter packs" were not part of the offering. A starter pack is $1 pack that will have one guaranteed rare card out of five cards, and the remaining four cards can be rare or common, depending on luck. Simply. Starter Packs will not have any Epic cards, any Legendary cards, or any black foil/Gold Foil cards. It contains only Common and rare cards to provide the player as an affordable deck-building option for the players.

Starter Packs
We’ve designed Starter packs as an accessible and affordable entry point for new and returning players alike. Each pack costs only 1,000 DEC or $1 in Credits and contains 5 cards from the Conclave Arcana set: one guaranteed Rare card and four more cards that have an 80% chance to be Common and a 20% chance to be Rare. Starter packs will only contain Regular Foil Common and Rare cards, so you can’t use potions with them.

As a bonus, every $10 Spellbook purchase will include five Starter packs, with the company purchasing these directly from the DAO and sharing 50% of the revenue from each sale.

Starter packs will remain available until the release of the next major set to ensure new players have access to discounted packs.

So I decided to use my liquid DEC to buy the Conclave Arcana packs, and I purchased 40 starter packs as my first step to the Conclave Arcana deck building. Purchase went smoothly without any issue, so it is time to go to mana well to open my packs.

I also observed that apart for my purchase 40 starter packs, I do have an Rebellion pack too. Since the Rebellion card set is still playable in the Modern , so I thought it is a good idea to try my luck with Rebellion pack.

With three rare cards in this pack opening, and no epic, legendary , gold foil card in it , Is this opening is not very similar to starter pack opening? Because in a lucky opening someone can get 3 Rare in Starter pack opening too.

Anyway, I proceeded to open all my Starter packs in one transaction (though I was wondering to go one by one for fun, but then I thought they are not going to give gold foil and Legendary, so it is better I should save time.)

In my card opening, I decided to first check that how many summoners cards (going Forward will be referred to as Archon cards as per new terminology),I got 12 Archon cards that make a average of 1 Archon cards in every 4 pack opened.

Apart from the Archons, the pack opening yielded the above cards (43 Distinct cards).
I also noticed that Splinterlands now provide the sharable link of the pack openings, so that you can verify it at a later time also. So here is my Link generated for the pack opening

I decided to check on my pack opening using the PeaKmonsters analyze packs, but they are not giving option for the "Starter Packs". If you have purchased Standard, Legendary or Alchemy packs, then you will be able to use the "Analyze pack" feature.
So, for my starter pack opening, I decided to check the value of my pack opening by checking the value of all the Conclave Arcana cards in my account. It comes out at $40.29. So I spend $40 , and got almost equivalent of cards of $40, so I did break even in this pack opening.

Future Planning.

If you have already noticed my Mana well image above, you have already noticed that I own huge amount of Untamed and Nightmare packs, and I have no intention of opening them but my emotional attachment is also not allowing me to sell them at any price. I guess, I have to rethink my strategy, how I can put more funds for Conclave arcana set.
