Conclave Arcana presale lesson: SPS scarcity is real.

A few days ago, I came across the post The Story Behind Sniping Top 6 CA Pre-sale with $52K, in which hanv explained his journey to be in a top 6 of the Conclave Arcana Presale pack. I read his post carefully, in which he explained how he actually spend $52K to buy the Conclave Arcana packs that has value of $80K. He explained that his actual expenditure was $52K, and his buying of the SPS converting/burning into the DEC helped him maximize his buying power.

I was tracking the DEC supply before the start of the Conclave arcana presale. I expected that the DEC supply would go down after the Conclave Arcana Presale, but exactly I saw DEC supply increased after the Conclave Arcana presale. I was also expecting that SPS price will move in the positive direction but not sure if it can get doubled before the start of the presale.

Also. I was not expecting that player will start burning SPS even before DEC reaches its peg value. I questioned the same in the game Discord's and most logical explanation, I got that buying a huge amount of the DEC is not possible, but buying SPS in large quantities and burning it for DEC looked more feasible.

Also, if we compare to the token appreciation, appreciation of DEC wil be close to peg. But in the case of SPS, it can get much better appreciation compared to the DEC.

Good thing is that even after the presale end, the price of these token did mot drop much. I feel one of the reasons may be the start of the "General sale" that in current situation , gives the player opportunity to buy packs and act as a natural sink.

I deduce the following points from post and observations.

1. SPS scarcity will definitely kick up the SPS price in the future too.
2. If DEC remains near to peg, then there is a high chance that SPS price can trigger up due to DEC market liquidity unavailable for large transactions.

Stake/Keep more SPS

I was not chasing the SPS or purchasing SPS, after I reached my 300K SPS goal. Since SPS still has so much decent APR for staking SPS and factors that can trigger the SPS price more, it becomes logical to stake more SPS to get the SPS staking rewards.

At current SPS has lot of inflation, but in future when all SPS will be already minted than presale events might really kick up the SPS price more.

If you have not played Splinterlands or will be returning player, then I will say let give Splinterlands a try.
