Conclave Arcana,the Sixth core set of Splinterland's history, is on the horizon as the presale of it will start on April 22, 2025. Though officially presale will be live till May 11,2025, but based on the interest of the players and the limited inventory that is kept on the presale, I am expecting it to end much before it's official date. Luckily, General sale will start on the 13 May, 2025 , so do not worry if presale sold out as General sale will follow soon, but it will be better to take part in Presale.

What is in the Conclave Arcana?

The essence of Splinterland's gaming will remain the same, as the Conclave Arcana set will also consist of cards. (With all Land updates and team creativity, I am wondering when pack sets started yielding other elements in the future). The cards sets will initially have 82 cards, but there will be an airdrop of 1 rare card and 1 legendary card for the presale participants. Also 9 Legendary cards will become part of the "Conflicts" system, and it will include 6 Legendary Archons (Archon is the new concept introduced in Conclave Arcana).
Overall breakup of the Standard pack that will launch in presale is as below:

• 24 Common cards
• 29 Rare cards
• 14 Epic cards
• 15 Legendary cards

But surprise does not end here,just continue reading, packs will be able to give a secret card also.

What new features will it add in-game?

By default it is expected that new card sets come with new abilities but Conclave Arcana goes one step ahead, as these card sets not only come with new abilities but with a whole new concept of the archons.

You can identify archons by the glowing rune etched into the base of their frame. Use them to invoke elemental strategies and—with Conclave Arcana—bloodline strategies as well! Our latest set comes with a slew of new bloodline archons sure to revolutionize your gameplay. With the Bloodline Dominion ability, these incredible cards let you summon any units that share their bloodline, regardless of element, and provide powerful bloodline-specific buffs.

It means that along with Elemental Summoner, Conclave Arcana will introduce the concept of "Bloodline Dominion" that will summon card based on bloodline irrespective of Elements.

Black Foils appear randomly in Conclave Arcana packs as max-level cards with collectible numbering. They cannot be combined.

You can use both Black Foil and Black Foil Arcane in lieu of Gold Foil during brawls and tournaments!

This is the secret card that I was referring, when I am talking about the cards available in the Conclave Arcana card packs.

Splinterland will be going to remain affordable.

I can say with CHAOS legion card and packs going so cheap in secondary market , there is no question of affordability in the current Splinterland scenario, With Chaos Legion rotating out of Modern league, the question of the affordability will resurface in the Modern League. Splinterland's team also focused on solving this problem by introducing the "Starter packs" in the Conclave Arcana set.

Starter Packs
We’ve designed Starter packs as an accessible and affordable entry point for new and returning players alike. Each pack costs only 1,000 DEC or $1 in Credits and contains 5 cards from the Conclave Arcana set: one guaranteed Rare card and four more cards that have an 80% chance to be Common and a 20% chance to be Rare. Starter packs will only contain Regular Foil Common and Rare cards, so you can’t use potions with them.

As a bonus, every $10 Spellbook purchase will include five Starter packs, with the company purchasing these directly from the DAO and sharing 50% of the revenue from each sale.

Starter packs will remain available until the release of the next major set to ensure new players have access to discounted packs.

Standard Packs
Standard packs return at a cost of 4,000 DEC or $4 in Credits, offering a mix of 5 cards from the Conclave Arcana set. The odds by rarity and foil of each card in the pack are shown below. The odds remain the same as in previous sets. One card from each pack is guaranteed to be Rare or better.

Common: 75.2%
Rare: 20%
Epic: 4%
Legendary: 0.8%
Gold Foil: 2%
Legendary Potions double your chances of pulling Epic or Legendary cards, while Alchemy Potions double your chances of pulling Gold Foils.

Alchemy Packs
Alchemy packs cost 12,000 DEC or $12 in Credits. Their card rarity and Gold Foil distribution is the same as standard packs, except they contain one guaranteed Gold Foil.*NOTE: if a Black Foil is pulled, then it will override and replace the guaranteed Gold Foil.

Alchemy Potions double your chances of pulling Gold Foils for the other four cards, while Legendary Potions double your chances of any card being Epic or Legendary—including your guaranteed Gold Foil!

Legendary Packs
Legendary packs cost 24,000 DEC or $24 in Credits. Their card rarity and Gold Foil distribution is the same as standard packs, except they contain one guaranteed Legendary card.

Legendary Potions double your chances of pulling Epic or Legendary cards with the other four cards, while Alchemy Potions double your chances of any card being Gold Foil—including your guaranteed Legendary card!

So, in coming Conclave Arcana, we are going to have four types of packs, If you focus on Legendary cards, go for Legendary pack. If you like to focus on Gold foil cards, go for Alchemy packs. If you wanna play for cheap, go for starter packs and use market for Epic and legendary cards. If you want to take chances with your luck, go for standard packs. A brilliant strategy and it will be interesting to see that how it helps in increasing the player base of Splinterlands.

It is no doubt that Splinterland's creative team always surprise it player with it's creativity. With every set they come up with a unique proposition. With teir current focus on UI/UX design along with strong tactical play they offer in game , I am expecting more players will be hooked on the game.

If you have not played Splinterlands or will be returning player, then I will say let give Splinterlands a try.
