Let's hit it running for this week's topic.

BACK TO BASICS
The game rule set back to basics simply means that monsters loses all ability. In this rule set, individual abilities do not matter because it's lost but the stats from summoners still stands and that might be the best consideration why creating a team for such battles. The back-to-basics rule set has some particular monsters that don't get much affected in terms of the attack type. Now, let's talk about some preferred choices for this rule set.
Team Preference for Back to Basics Rule Set
When faced with this game rule set, the first consideration should be the summoner's stats since that's only what isn't affected in the rule set. There are many stats offered by different summoners but for this type of battle, I will suggest four kinds of summoners. First, a summoner that increases magic stat. Second, a summoner with the void armor stat. Third, a summoner with the phase stat, and lastly, a summoner with the blast stat. There are other summoners stat that can still give success but I choose these four because most players prefer magic monsters for this rule set but if for any reason you prefer using ranged monsters for this rule set, then you must consider using summoners with ranged-enhancing & close range stat.
Why use some of the suggested summoners
Using a summoner with a +1 magic stat is good because you need higher magic damage to take off the enemy's health fast before they get the chance to inflict unrecoverable damage on your team.
Since my assumption is that many players prefer magic monsters for this rule set, there are other ways to prepare for these magic monsters. The use of summoners with void armor or Phase stat might just do the job for you. Using void armor summoner simply means you will have to include monsters with a high number of armor in your team, by doing so, the enemy's monster will have to go through armor before getting to your monster's health. Phase stat summoners is another way to handle magic monsters in this rule set because they tend to miss most of their shot. ( I don't count on this though)
Using blast is also desirable since monsters close to the targeted one also get affected
Let's take a look at the battle for this week.
The Battle

Battling Elements | Water Vs Fire. |

Team Selection
The team selection was made based on the summoner's stat which turned out to go against me. Sad to say, this time, I lost. Below is the team that couldn't deliver victory to me.
YODIN ZAKU
I thought of this summoner the best because it offers +1 both in ranged damage and health, coupled with a blast stat. I was really counting on its blast stat but I guess I'm still learning to use the summoner. I totally blame the failure on myself not the summoner.
MOLTEN OGRE
Again, I thought that the large number of health of this monster will help but I guess I totally ignored the fact that it's a low speed monster. The impact of this monster was never felt in the entire battle. another failure on my side.
PRISMATIC ENERGY
Prismatic with a promising health number occupied the second position with one magic damage which wasn't a match for that of the opponent monster.
TECHNOWIZOLOGIST
A supposed stun monster used without its ability. This monster fought with two magic damage in the battle saw them as no match to the opposition. The great riftwatcher card couldn't do much since its ability is suspended.
ZALRAN EFREET
Zalran also battled with two magic damage but got overwhelmed by the attack of the enemy.
FIRE BEETLE
LAVA SPIDER
The two ranged attack monster was positioned last with three and two ranged damage respectively. Their presence contributed to the battle but like others before them, it wasn't enough for them to secure a victory for the team.
Judging from the outcome of this battle, it will be nice to take another path when faced with this rule set again.
That will be all for this week. Please join me next week for another battle challenge same place.
