Spooky Splinterlands Battles - Spooky Dread Tafarians

Blew up a battle in Splinterlands and somehow crawled out of the smoke to meme about it? Built a card combo so cursed your own minions are filing ghostly HR complaints? Or maybe you cracked a strategy so twisted even your stats needed therapy from the shadows?

Whatever dark chaos you’ve unleashed… we want the proof. Show us your glorious disasters and wicked wins! Snagged unique rewards with your haunted decks in the Conflicts? That’s even more gleaming in the moonlight!

September’s heat is nothing compared to this… from ghoulish victories to spine-chilling combos, this month we’re spotlighting the clever, the quirky, and the downright ridiculous strategies that keep Splinterlands alive... and undead.

This is your chance to prove yourself on a battlefield where shadows twist and every move chills the bone. Frontier is free-to-play, built for strategy, and designed to reward skill… every card you earn is yours, and even your non-crypto friends can flaunt this NFT magic.

As the moon rises and Dar Gearnut and Calamity stalk the foggy battlefield… let’s peer into the darkness at the Dread Tafarian! These leonine warriors, scarred by the cursed wastes of Ardentioch, prowl endlessly… striking with shield, tooth, and instinct.

For the right cause—or coin—they even fight for others. Their manes are braided with rings and bone charms, their armour forged from twisted salvage, cursed trade, or anything that holds… and their shields are broad enough to shatter mortal lines.

To outsiders, they seem feral. In Tafaria, they are the wastelands made flesh: unyielding, ruthless, and mercenary. When mana runs low—only 29 to bend along Super Sneak and Explosive Weaponry—you’ll need cunning to survive. The lion’s pride hangs by a thread.

  • Aurelia: +1 Health to friendly units
  • Dread Tafarian: Melee with Heal
  • Mad Gearhead: Melee with Reach
  • New Beluroc Aegis: Melee with Taunt

Sneaky units strike from the shadows, hitting the backline… while blasts tear through neighbours. Tanks crush the front, but their collateral strikes ripple chaos behind. With only three units… the middle one suffers from both sides.

I tried a full melee team and it felt like courting doom. Great Bear Druid struck twice under Sneak, while Sorrow Harvester’s dark magic ignored armour entirely nightmarish.

I expected Mad Gearhead to fall first, yet it survived long enough to strike back… and the Sorrow Harvester was swiftly ended. My army, though battered, endured… +1 health for everyone!

The Mad Gearhead finally succumbed under the relentless onslaught… leaving only the Tafarian’s healing power and a sliver of luck. Even when speed was equal, New Beluroc Aegis struck first, delivering a deadly blow to the Great Bear Druid. Victory was fleeting—he fell on the next strike.

The lion is king… and the Tafarian fears no rodent. Heal after dark heal, claw after spectral claw, it seized the edge over Nim Guard Captain. Witness the full battle unfold… if you dare. See the full battle here!
