Free Market
In a free market, manufacturing really boils down to the lowest cost labor. It's low skiled jobs being done at the lowest cost possible. Americans have a distorted vision of manufacturing because they picture these welfare programs where it's a union worker coming in to barely work for 9 hours a day. That's not a free market enviroment, that's basically a glorified welfare check.
I do think eventually all this stuff will be done by robots, but that's a lot futher along than people think. We will probably get a robotics boom later this decade that will be similar to the dotcom boom. Lots of people think the internet will revolutionaize everything within a year, but in reality it took decades (and in the meantime stock prices of companies like Amazon went through a boom/bust cycle).
I think we will get 1-2 more quarters of negative GDP growth, mainly cause consumption will get hit hard.
After that, the Fed will step in towards the end of the year.
For stocks, this is good news later in the year. For crypto, this is bad news. We probably won't get another bull market until mid next year.
On a side note, I do find people in general to be hilarious.
Bob Loukas was considered crazy for going bullish in January 23. Fat obese akshyually bros were like: "no way bro bitcoin is going to $8k"
Earlier this year he locks in a $1 million profit and those same obese whales are like: "stupid move bro the bull market is just starting"
