Contentment can be defined as a state of being satisfied with what you what. You may not have everything but being happy with the little you have.

My goal is not to be better than anyone but better than who i was yesterday

That is my philosophy in life. We do not need to be in competition with anyone even though they are doing better.

In life we have different attitudes and characteristics. We set goals and we have different plans towards the future .We have two kind of personality.

  • The one who is contended with how far he has gone, and don't want to compare to see who's better.
  • And this one who is comparing and wants to do best among others.

It is not a bad thing to want to be the best, but the motive toward acheiving that goal is what matters.

In life what matters is not what we have, what we built, not what we got but what we shared, the people we have inspired and motivated.
Live a life that is full of love and kindness.
You don't have to help everyone but you can help someone.
Be good to others so people can be good to you.
Comparison and insatification is not good, it can grow envy and jealous and ruin our future.
If you are contended you will not compete with anyone.

I can as well add that we bears different destinies.

Contentment is a virtue everyone should aspire to possess. It will go a long way in removing some unhealthy competition in our lives.

Work harder, take is gradual , with time your success will show.

No need to be envious or jealous of another.

Love your article dear.

the motive toward acheiving that goal is what matters.

This is the summary for any step taken.
Competition for me is a healthy one because it helps me check my drawing board and know what step I should take to be better.
Just like you said,it is the motive towards achieving the goal that matters.

You are right though it okay to want to be the best but the motive behind it can help and at the same time destroyed if it a bad one.
