Strong Unit in the No Legendaries Unit Ruleset
Hello, Everyone, today I will make a post again about the Splinterlands contest Battle Mage Secrets Challenge. This Week's Theme is Lost Legendaries ruleset.
I usually battled in the Modern Format Diamond League using my 2 scholar accounts from Balthazar scholar bltzr-wizard-710 and bltzr-wizard-711.

Ruleset

Lost Legendaries: can not use the Legendary monsters.
Target Practice: All range and magic monsters have the Snipe ability.
- Snipe ability, targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position
Ferocity, all monsters have Fury ability.
- Fury ability, do double damage against monsters with the Taunt ability.
mana cap.
can use Fire, Water, Earth, Life and Dragon element.
My Lineup and strategy
- For the ruleset Lost Legendaries we actually don't pay too much attention/memorize which one is a legendary monster but we just know that our unit in the Water element is still strong although lost some legendary monsters. Before I knew that I usually chose the element and then looked for the monster that could be used and if somehow we didn't have a strong formation with that unit in the element we would choose another element.
- In the Target Practice ruleset we can make sure our tanker is safe from the enemy range and magic attack monster by bringing range and magic monster.
- Ferocity ruleset just make sure not to bring any monster with the Taunt ability.

![]() | Lux Vega, Give speed, armor, and speed +1 to all friendly monsters. | This is the only summoner from the Neutral element, it needs 5 mana cost to use this summoner. With increasing speed, our monster has a chance to attack first, evade the enemy attack, and hit the enemy. Armor buff is important because it can block the damage from range and melee monsters, the enemy needs to destroy the armor first before it can decrease the HP. The increasing HP will increase all our unit HP make it hard to kill and it will buff the effectiveness of the Heal ability because more HP will increase the HP it restored. |
![]() | Noa The Just, 1st position, attacker and tanker. It has the ability Rust, Dodge and Backfire . | We use this monster because it has the support ability Rust that will decrease all enemy monsters' armor by -2, which makes our melee attacker kill the enemy faster. This monster can't attack but can give damage to the enemy, if this monster evades the enemy's attack it will give damage back by +2 because has a Backfire ability. High speed and Dodge ability will increase the chance to evade the enemy's range and melee attack by 25%. The weakness of this monster is the magic attack but with the Target Practice ruleset we will force the enemy magic/range attack to attack our range monster, so this unit will be safe until our range monster behind dies. |
![]() | Flying Squid, 2nd position, attacker and 2nd tanker. Has the ability Reach, Blind, and Backfire. | We use this monster because it can attack from this position with the Reach ability the other reason is the support ability Blind is very useful because gives all friendly monster a 15% increase in chance to evade melee and range monster attack especially for our tanker Noa The Just which already have high speed and good evading ability. Has the same ability like Noa the Just the Backfire ability. |
![]() | Venari Marksrat, 3rd position, Attacker and Support, has the ability Martyr and Ensnare. | Because of the ruleset Target Practice we put this monster here all range and magic units will attack this monster and if this monster dies it will boost the stats of the Flying Squid in the 2nd position and Deeplurker in the 4th position with the Martyr ability. If this monster dies all the stats of the monster adjacent to it will increase by 1. The Ensnare ability will disable the Flying ability from the enemy monster who got attacked by this monster. We hope the enemy brings a unit with the Snipe or Opportunity (attacking monster with the lowest HP) so will attack this monster and kill it. |
![]() | Deeplurker, 4th position, Attacker. Has the ability Opportunity, Poison, and Demoralize. | The reason we use this monster is because it has high damage and Poison ability, if hit the enemy has a 50% chance to inflict Poison status. The enemy monster who got inflicted by the Poison status each round will decrease the HP by -2. Demoralize ability will decrease all enemy melee damage by -1, this will be an important debuff if the enemy uses many melee attackers. If our strategy works, with the help of Martyr's ability this unit will become a faster and powerful attacker. |

Has the ability Sneak, and Poison. | Same as our Deeplurker we use this monster because of the Poison ability (if inflicted on the enemy will decrease their HP every round**. It will attack the enemy monster in the last position with Sneak ability. This unit is weak against attack so we put it in the middle. |
![]() | Pelacor Bandit, 6th position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Sneak, and Flying. | This unit has fast speed, great damage, and Flying ability (increases the chance to evade melee and ranged attacks by 25%) with this ability I hope it can evade some attacks if the enemy uses a monster with the Sneak ability. |

Did your Strategy Work?
Yes, the strategy is working :
- The enemy range (Supply Runner), magic (Water Caller) monsters and melee (Deeplurker) unit with the Opportunity ability attacking our Venari Marksrat so temporary our Noa The Just safe from the attack. When Venari Marksrat dies it boosts the stats of our Flying Squid and Deeplurker.
- Because the enemy doesn't have a good defender behind and the Rust ability from our Noah The Just make the enemy not have armor anymore, our attackers with Sneak and Opportunity abilities behind easily kill the enemy units one by one before they can attack and kill our monster. The enemy used strong monsters in the front but they had difficulty hitting and killing our tanker Noah The Just :
