Hello, Splinterlovers, today I will make a post about the Rebellion New Reward Card for Community Engagement Challenge. This Week's card i want to discuss is Halfling Refugee from Neutral Element.

What Good About This Card

This unit is an Epic Neutral unit card so all other elements can use this card as long no rule prevents them from using it.
This unit compared to other 1 mana card melee units is far superior, this unit at max level has superb damage of 5 and 8 HP with only 1 mana cost and Heal ability (every round will restore some HP).

I think this unit will be excellent to use in some ruleset like :

Ruleset	The Icon
Equal Opportunity, every melee unit can attack the enemy with the lowest HP from any position.
Super Sneak, all melee unit if they can will attack the enemy in the last position from any position.
Melee Mayhem, all melee unit if they can will attack the enemy in the first position.
Noxious Fumes, start at round 2 all units will receive 2 poison damage. When Halfing Refuuge reaches maks stats and has Heal ability , it will reduce the effect of the Poison.
Earthquake, at the end of the round each unit will receive 2 melee damage. The same explanation as Noxious Fumes with Heal will help to reduce the effect of the Earthquake.

The Weakness

This unit has Weary ability. Each round, Weary units have a 10% chance to become Exhausted. This chance increases by 10% every round, up to a maximum of 80%. Exhausted units skip their turn and cannot Retaliate.

So Luck/RNG plays a vital role when using this unit.

Some Battle Using This Unit

I battle in the Diamond League, but unfortunately my Halfling Refugee still level 2, this unit is already good to use :

  As you can see the weakness of that unit in this battle. In round 1 those Weary abilities took effect and this unit can't attack, it can attack in round 2.

• Battle 2 link :
  
  In this Battle Halfling Refugee only acts as a tanker, giving more time for Doctor Blight to keep attacking from behind and safe from attack. With High, HP can last several attacks.

My battle doesn't show the actual strength of this unit because my card is only at level 2 but this is already good enough to use at the Diamond League. I hope 3-4 more seasons can have 46 copy of this card and max it.

Conclusion

This unit is good for attackers and tankers in the low-mana battles. Especially when it reaches max level and has the Heal ability. Just remember that if the battle lasts several round this unit becoming more and more useless because of the Weary effect :).
