Strategy 101: Redemption + Weaken = DELETE META!

Splinterlands is known for multiple strategies and different combos to achieve different results. Basically, victory can be achieved in many different ways! That's what makes this game so fun. Today we're diving into one of the most fun (in my opinion) ways to win, and that's by DELETING your opponents. So how do you delete your enemies? You have to understand what causes the win!

Redemption

Have you seen this? It's a really useful skill when used properly. Redemption does 1 damage to all enemy monsters when the monster dies. You can think of it as going out with a bang!

Weaken

Weaken is a really useful skill as it reduces the health of all enemy monsters. The best part is that it stacks! You can have multiple monsters with weaken and watch your enemy HP go to as low as 1!

Standard pick

In this match I had 3 monsters in total with Redemption and 3 monsters with Weaken. You can see that most of the backline will be destroyed the moment a single redemption is triggered. Check out the replay to see how awesome it is!

It doesn't always work

As mentioned above, it doesn't always work, but it's still really fun! This strategy works if the enemy has spread out their units. If they choose to have a heavy tank, the match gets harder as it will take a lot more to destroy them. In this match, I lost because I wasn't able to deal enough damage before the sacred unicorn went on a rampage.

Another way to delete! Amplify in action!

Sometimes Redemption and Weaken need a hand in deleting the enemies. That's where Owster Rotwell's magic reflect will let your enemy kill themselves if they bring a heavy magic team. That and the amplify from the Venari Wavesmith is sure to destroy enemies faster. Remember, the amplify does not stack!

Why Owster?

Even when others want to use a similar strategy, we still win! That's because magic reflect is just that useful. Sure we lose the advantage if the enemy brings in non magic users, but generally speaking there is always magic! Check out this match and watch how awesome the delete meta is!

After all the weakening and the redemption, the first round ended as a 1 on 1 with my undead priest vs there undead priest. Of course I had the advantage because every time they hit me, I would reflect the damage back at them.

You Must Remember

This was used in diamond league, and you have to check which cards will give you these abilities in the lower leagues. This strategy is my go-to winning strategy especially in low mana fights/ Little League game modes. Got any questions? Ask away below!
