I've been seeing a lot of posts about RISING STAR recently and figured I had best give this game a shot. I was also looking for another game to play on HIVE, and this seemed like a good one.

P.S. This is my first hand experience of starting the game with 0 actual experience.

Initial Investment: 28.89 HIVE

After a bit of research, I decided to get the promo where I buy 12 packs for 100,000 STARBITS.

So it says that each pack gives you 3 cards, with 1 being a guaranteed rare. After opening 12 packs, I got only 1 Epic card. I was hoping for a lot but hey, I've never been lucky with pack opening so this is good! It looks so badass!

First Problem

As a new player I could see my cards in the collection page, but I couldn't use them on the mission page. I was slightly panicking because I had no idea what to do. I got this error when I tried to interact with my cards.

Not gonna lie. I panicked a bit. But after panicking, I tried looking for the blue Refresh Cards After Purchas or Sale button. I couldn't find it but my friend pointed out it's in the card collection page. See the Click Here? Well, CLICK THERE.

The Result

Now that looks good. I've got no energy now but it refreshes at 1% every 5 mins. I can wait!

Exploring the Game

The UI needs a bit of fixing up, but it's pretty fun to play with. My favorite parts are the diary log and the awesome music that plays.

ROI

I'm not too sure how long it will take for me to get my money back, but it's definitely a fun experience so far. I think based on my rate of earning I might get it back in 1-2 months. I'll probably write about this game again when I get closer to that, but for now let's just enjoy it.

Verdict

The overall feel of the game is like I'm slowly making my way to stardom as a band manager. It's honestly a super fun game just based on the variety of music alone! I've yet to experience everything the game has to offer, but I would encourage anyone to give it a try.
