A peek Into My Festive Holiday Adventures

It's my favorite season of the year, I thought I was not excited about it, trying to act all grown up but I actually couldn't keep calm about it since we entered the month of December. This time of the year brings love, joy, and excitement.

I have no intention of traveling during this festive period, I have always celebrated with my family since childhood, I wish I could take a break and travel, but there's nowhere to go because my siblings and my relatives mostly reside in Benin City I wouldn't call that traveling. My brothers always come around to the house during this period. We get to catch up on things and go out on a family outing. I always wished that we had a home in the village where we could travel down to spend the festive period to bond with my relatives and get to know each other more. I don't know if my holiday will go as planned this year.

I applied for a job in a company and if I am called upon to resume before Christmas my plans will be cut short, The company festive break is just 3 days and after the boxing day work starts. I have limited and already drafted my plans for those days. On the 24 of December, the watch night I plan on staying at home after church and helping around because that day is going to be busy. Last year I attended an engagement party of my friend at night I haven't had a night party since ever, though I had to come back early since am still under the roof of my parents. I appreciated every bit of it, I don't know what this year's watch night will be like.

On Christmas day 25 of December will be different from my previous year, my nephew and niece are staying with my family instead of the usual staying at home eating and sleeping, I will be taking them out for fun. I plan on taking them to a nice place, since am an introvert I don't know the latest place for children around but my brother has already given me suggestions. Last year new year when my family went out to a bar, my nephews were displaying outside taking their shoes off and moving the chairs around, I had to make a video of them to show them later on, for them to see how they behaved outside when they were little leaving no room for denial.

On boxing day 26 December the main outing day with my besties, it's been a long we had a girl's outing. We were planning on having a color picnic in a zoo park. The color picnic I have seen is always so beautiful where we are to bring goodies of the same color we will be wearing, unfortunately, one of my besties had to pass because she's traveling for a marriage ceremony and would be spending the Christmas there. I will have to look for other days to go on the picnic when she's back. I am open to any call for an outing that day. And then back to work the next day. New Year holidays I plan on visiting my relatives and friends.

If, Perhaps, I don't secure the job I plan on taking a break at my cousin's place for some days 20-23 of December, it's just a 20-minute drive from my place. It's near but I haven't visited them in a while I need to catch up on the times we have missed and they are a jack of all trades, I bet I get to learn new things. On the last day of my visit to my favorite cousin 23rd December, I plan on attending a wedding with my cousin. Am just a tag along I wouldn't want to miss attending an occasion before the year runs out. The good music, the happiness in the air, sightseeing the beautiful faces and dresses around, and most especially the sumptuous meal.
