My NFTs - success or failure?
Hi Friends!
I wish to share with You my experiences with NFTs I am using and trying out now...
It is not a big experience - I am a beginner level NFT-user but maybe some of You can share some other experiences and support me with some strategy, maybe other options which works well for You.
I have an account on MakersPlace but after many months still the pictures I wished to share are not published. Of course, to speed up the process, I can pay the gas fee which in my opinion is crazy high - to build a decent gallery there I would have to spend hundreds if not thousands of dollars which I actually don't really have...
So right now I am waiting for my works to be published and for now, I skipped this platform.
Other thing is that in my opinion, photography as digital art is selling much worse than art in a form of paintings, digital creations, animations and similar...
Time will show, maybe I will come back there if finally my works will go live.
Second platform I am currently using is OpenSea.
It is fresh thing, I am still building up my gallery and creating some collections.
The big benefit of this platform is that after paying the starting gas fee - I can download and sell my works without any additional cost. The starting gas fee is not low, but I hope I will manage to sell something in time, I hope it will be good investment.
This gives me the opportunity to experiment, to work on many ideas and projects, to create different collections and hoping that maybe someone will be interested to purchase his unique digital copy of my work.

I see some people on Hive have links to https://nftshowroom.com and seem to sell stuff on there and getting paid in Hive but I have no clue how the sales are . How about Opensea have you been able to sell anything on there ?

I didn't sold anything yet, but Opensea is a fresh thing for me, I am still working on the gallery and trying to find a way to promote it somehow...
Unless they've changed it recently, nftshowroom specifically excludes photography.

I've messed around a bit with Lensy but that's about it. I'd forgotten about the gas costs, there's none on lensy (it runs on hive) but there's also not a lot going on there in terms of activity. I haven't done much with it in a while, keep meaning to get back to it and build more of a gallery and promote it more but it seems like a lot of work for something people aren't buying much of yet.
It seems that many of the nft projects are slowly dying and just a very few are growing taking over the market. Thanks for sharing Your experiences!

I have chk your nft on opensea platform, wonderful collection.
I have no idea how sales on there, many people create nfts, very competitive.
