My Losing Streak Continues- Strategy Change 5/20/25

Ugh! My losing streak continues and I need to make a change. I lost two more battles this morning and afternoon. I am learning about the black shard and chose to play with this shard because I had never done so before. This has been an eye-opening experience and I'm still getting my feet wet.

My most recent loss was a "heavy hitter" match in which my units were paired up against the green shard and units delivered knockout blows. I selected my most powerful units with the lost and let loose. I lost heartily, but had fun today. The great thing about Splinterlands is that it is a dynamic and fun game I enjoy. I usually take a pause when I am on a losing streak so that I do not get burned out on the game.

This season is not like my other seasons. I am stuck at Bronze III on Modern Ranked, and I have been experiencing a genuine losing streak. I want to right the ship, and realize that by choosing an unfamiliar shard, I may have shot myself in the foot. I was doing great with the red shard and the white shard, but the black shard is unfamiliar.

I am buying SPS and DEC for the Tribaldex liquidity pool to earn 22% APR. My goal is to get more passive income and start playing the land game. I have one land producing wheat, and staked some DEC to make it run. The land game is promising, and the passive income aspect is good too.

Wish me luck as I rent some more cards at various max levels with mana cost diversity. Drop a comment below if you have any suggestions of good black shard cards.

The Splinterlands losing streaks can be brutal. I've been playing since the kickstarter campaign, so day 1. I had some great cards and did pretty well at the start, but my experience was you had to keep buying the latest and greatest cards to win much, which got old after a while. Others may have different experiences, that's just mine.

Hoping to come at it a different way with PEPE Game, but we'll see. Maybe it's just the nature of these kinds of games, you have to keep selling new things for people to buy, in order to stay profitable which is needed to pay the expenses involved in keeping your game up and running. Don't really know but looking to find out!

In any case, wishing you the best in all your card battles!

Thanks! I rent the cards and focus on passive income in the game with SPS and DEC. I could not afford to buy all new cards and rentals are worth it currently. Thanks for your support!
