Reinforcements and lesson learned (Weekend Event report) [ ENG | ESP ]
English
This past month I learned the hard way that playing weekend events with the same mechanics, week after week, will eventually become unfeasible. The first weekend event with the Mortal Judgement set left me with a sour taste, with only six wins and dropping to Solar Gold.
Still, I have a small consolation regarding the rewards, six packs: x2 Core rare, x1 Core epic, x1 MJ rare and x1 MJ epic. Plus an additional MJ rare, thanks to completing the 30 wins required for the bonus.

I won't specify much about the decks I used in the first 25 battles, other than that it was a combination of aggro War, aggro Light with many shortcomings, and the midrange Nature that I used until this weekend.
I'm sure the tilt factor worked against me. With the first defeats I should have stepped away from the PC for a while, to keep a calmer mind, but I couldn't help but continue; a bit masochistic all around. Lesson learned, it won't happen again.
Anyway, in view of my failure I decided to try other decks until I reached 30 wins for the extra pack. I bought a Porphyrion, Dread Cyclops (which despite the one health nerf I still think is a pretty competent creature) to try out a Deception deck that @phoenixskye shared weeks ago.

I also equipped myself with a Demetrios, Playwright and Choralis Rune Moth, two legendaries that gave a lot of skill to my Magic deck, which so far is the one I liked the most out of all of them.

Finally, I acquired an Asterius, Glittering One for a midrange Light deck. However, I think it lacks a lot of synergy. I'm hoping that with Mortal Judgement I'll find other mechanics that will make my combos more effective.

For me, who's been hell-bent on playing Nature, this is a big change. It's completely different playing the gods I've always played against, but I think, in the wake of the fiasco, it warranted it. In the meantime, I'll continue to prepare for the next Weekend Event, trying to put in a decent performance at the very least.

Bet you will do better this week! Experience counts a lot!
I hope that this will be the case. I think I am preparing more than ever before. Cheers!
Rough weekend. I usually find what decks to run from gudecks top 10.
I will check the meta in GU Decks from now on. At least then I'll have a better idea of which deck to play with.
Yea I felt like MJ provided a bit of powercreep that made the weekend a little harder; just a warning they did nerf that Deception deck by removing Hidden from Witherfingers :( Porphy got a slight nerf too. I would definitely run Selfless Guildmates over Dark Knives if you have them!
You are right about the MJ. And well, the nerfs were something I expected. I've been trying to make some changes to the deck based on the cards I have, but I think I'll have to get some MJ cards fast.
