RE: nft going into space, kitclout tonguesout meets aliens

I'm also a bit of a computer and astronomy (and other sciences) nerd, which is why the post caught my attention. I still haven't had the time to read up on this project yet (just had a pretty big snowstorm here), but I find this and projects like it fascinating. I'm a big advocate of space exploration... long term survival of our species DEPENDS on our ability to move away from this rock.

I haven't personally paid much attention to the NFT scene yet. It doesn't serve any immediate purpose for me, so I've paid just enough attention to know what people are talking about when I see the letters 'NFT' in a title. I do like art, though, and I find your work to be much more interesting that the 8-bit icons that are generating so much hype right now. I don't play the online card games, and I grew up broke, so I never really got in to collectibles. I see the usefulness of NFTs as a way to monetize art, and to really change the way that artists are paid, but that's not really my world.

Thanks for the long reply, I hope you find success wherever you are seeking it!

oh i am totally with you on the nft thing. i think there's an awful lot of junk people end up selling to make a quick buck off of people who don't know any better.

i look at my nfts as really a tip someone can give me to say they like what i do, and they also get an image that i put actual time into making (vs. letting a computer spin it up, though i'm sure many of those projects take a lot of work to put together- i appreciate them slightly more than i used to, what i very much disapprove of is when prices are set based on some arbitrary "rarity" of "traits" since.. that's some bogus malarkey in my opinion!~)

and i really think this whole "virtual world" that you can decorate is.. well, it's so second life. i think if you pay an exorbitant amount of money on a piece of art, it's something you want to show off, and- we're not livin' in the matrix yet everyone LOL

however, reasonably-priced NFTs and then having a virual gallery is all totally cool and awesome in my opinion. it's the price-gouging that i think is ridiculous!

ty!!
