Hola gente bonita! Espero estén super bien todos y si no lo están, pronto lo estarán! Vengo nuevamente con un dibujo para el Social Media Challenge de esta semana para @Splinterlands. Como en la descripción que podemos encontrar cada semana en su publicación que sale cada miércoles, la cual dice textualmente:

I will focus on the part where it says "Have you created something amazing?", since I feel that my drawings inspired by the game characters are something amazing to me and many people like them. So I decide to make a #fanart about a card. That card is Medusa. I chose it since it's a character I love, whenever I see it in movies or other, I always admire it, so why not to make my version of it this time.

Me enfocare en la parte donde dice "Have you created something amazing?", ya que siento que mis dibujos inspirados en los personajes del juego son algo increíbles para mi y a muchas personas les gustan. Así que decido hacer un #fanart sobre una carta. Dicha carta es la de Medusa. La escogí ya que es un personaje que me encanta, siempre que lo veo en películas o demás, lo admiro siempre, así que por qué no hacer mi versión del mismo esta vez.

I started to make the face, since I'm focusing lately on making faces for my drawings, because I'm short of time, but to continue publishing every week I only make the characters in portrait. To make the face I looked at the elements that the original character has in order to integrate them to my drawing. The gloves that the character has, I made them in the shape of horns, because the truth is that I had no idea how else I could integrate them, but I did it. The rest was the same, only that kind of crown or I don't know what it is, I made it smaller and I made it in the shape of a tiara, so it wouldn't cover so much space on his forehead.

Comencé a hacer el rostro, ya que me estoy centrando últimamente en hacer rostros para mis dibujos, porque ando corto de tiempo, pero para seguir publicando cada semana hago solo los personajes en retrato. Para hacer el rostro me fije en los elementos que tiene el personaje original y así lograr integrarlos a mi dibujo. Los guantes que tiene el personaje los hice en forma de cuernos, porque la verdad ni idea de que otra forma los podría integrar, pero se logro. Lo demás quedo igual, solo esa especie de corona o no se que sea, la hice mas pequeña y la hice en forma de tiara, para que así no abarcara tanto espacia en su frente.

Las serpientes que todos sabemos que son representativas en Medusa y que forman parte de su cabello o eso es lo que és básicamente, las hice un poco diferentes, en que sentido? Normalmente Medusa tiene la cabeza repleta de serpientes, lo cual no me gusta mucho, porque para mi es algo agobiante, así que las hice mas sutiles y se ven un poco mas como cabello a mi parecer.

To do the color work I looked as usual in the color palette of the original character. If we see the character well, we will find colors like green, orange, red, yellow and blue, so all my color work was based on them. The snakes were painted in a light green color and I added darker shades of the same color to create contrast. I added orange on her cheekbones and cheeks, and also a little bit on her nose. I really played a lot with this color palette, because I wanted to integrate each of the colors of the character to my drawing, the only color I didn't add was that dark blue, because I didn't know where to add it.

Para hacer el trabajo de color me fije como es de costumbre en la paleta de color del personaje original. Si vemos bien al personaje, nos encontraremos con colores como el verde, naranja, rojo, amarillo y azul, así que todo mi trabajo de color se baso en los mismos. Las serpientes las pinte de un color verde claro y fui agregando tonalidades del mismo color mas oscuro, para así ir haciendo contraste. El naranja lo agregue en sus pómulos y cachetes, también un poco en la nariz. Realmente jugué mucho con esta paleta de color la verdad, ya que quería integrar cada uno de los colores del personaje a mi dibujo, el único color que no agregue fue ese azul oscuro, porque no supe donde agregarlo.

Finally I worked on the final details, adding the line art, some shadows and finally the glows, which I mostly do on the eyes, nose, mouth and some areas of the character. That would be all folks!

Por ultimo trabaje en los detalles finales, agregando el line art, algunas sombras y finalmente los brillos, que mayormente los hago en los ojos, nariz, boca y algunas zonas del personaje. Eso seria todo amigos!
