Our friend Francesca lives in Buskeria. She's been living here for many years. Her mother brought her to live with her when her husband abandoned her. Since then, she studied music and violin at one of the local schools. It was in Buskeria that she truly found fame. As soon as she took off, her career steadily rose. She has worked with the best musicians in the area and is beloved by everyone. She has a talent that is difficult for other violinists who live nearby to match.

She currently works for the Stward Symphony Orchestra, a famous conductor we recently saw here on the blog. Together with him and the others, she has formed an excellent team that has practically become a family. She is one of the most experienced violinists and one of the longest-serving members of the group. But they know that behind her facade of a talented woman who refuses to give up on anything, there is something hidden. She has been hiding a secret for nearly three years that no one knows, not even those closest to her. She has completely lost the hearing in one ear. This has caused her countless problems and greatly affected her performance and playing ability.

But her talent is so great that, even with one ear, she has managed to remain in the orchestra playing without anyone knowing what she really has. In fact, no one has suspected a thing. She hasn't sat idly by; during all this time, she has visited several hospitals throughout Buskeria. But most have told her the same thing: treatment isn't available here. The solution is to go to another distant region, possibly outside the country.

But doing so requires special permission, which isn't being given. The country where the treatment is being performed has severed relations with Buskeria, and citizens cannot travel freely. The only way to do so is to obtain a permit. But Francesca, no matter how hard she tried to get one, hasn't been able to. It has been denied, and she hasn't been able to solve her problem. Initially, she thought it would go away on its own, but a year went by and nothing, and then another and nothing. Until we get to the present, and three years have passed. But things are getting worse, and now her other ear is being affected as well. But she's very secretive and doesn't want to tell anyone. I want to solve it on my own; she thinks that if she tells others, they'll see her as a failure and that she should retire from her career because she can no longer play.

So she continued to keep the secret from everyone. Meanwhile, she continued to lose hearing in her second ear and was now forcing others to speak louder or repeat things twice. Now people really started to suspect that something was wrong. Especially Stward, who was watching her frequently lose the thread of the song or skip ahead to the notes. He'd never seen that happen before because she's a professional, and she'd never done it before.

So it was clear something was wrong with her. After much insistence from him and some of her colleagues, she confessed the secret: she was losing hearing in her only working ear. She also explained that she hadn't told them before out of shame and because there was no solution. But this caused her a lot of shame, even though she confessed it to her friends, it was very hard. She immediately called in for sick leave and went home that same day. Her family and colleagues didn't know how to help her, because the only solution to her problem could be fixed by a doctor.

Her colleagues and other friends rallied around to see how they could help her. Money wasn't the solution because it was useless, and they couldn't make her play like that in her condition because it could make her feel worse. With no solution in sight, Stward, the director, told them about an idea that had occurred to them: to lobby on social media about her case to obtain travel permission so she could receive treatment. But no matter how much pressure they exerted, the rules didn't budge. They wouldn't let her travel. But upon seeing this, the population in the other country began to demand an exception in her case, at least for her condition. In the end, the other country relented, but not in the way she had hoped; she didn't have to travel. They sent doctors to treat her in Buskeria so she wouldn't have to travel.

All of this surprised Francesca greatly; she couldn't believe so many people were interested in her well-being and how she was feeling. This made her very happy and filled her with courage again. The hospital surgery was a success, and she was able to recover hearing in both ears. Now she eagerly awaits the moment to return to the stage and give her all to give the audience what they gave for her: their time and dedication. Everyone eagerly awaits her return as well.
