Greetings and good evening, dear and esteemed friends of Hive! It's wonderful to be here again tonight with all of you who read and watch my stories each day. This time, I've written a story about Donna, a singer who wants to step outside her comfort zone, but it's not as easy as she expected. Saludos y buenas noches queridos y estimados amigos de hive, que bien poder estar acá una noche más con todos ustedes los que me leen y ven mis historias cada día. En esta oportunidad he escrito una historia sobre Donna, una cantante que quiere salir de su zona de confort, pero que no resulta tan fácil como esperaba. Si quieren ver a qué cosas se va enfrentando y si las supera o quizás no los invito a seguir leyendo. Espero que les guste y la disfruten, dicho esto ya podemos comenzar, arrancamos.

There's nothing more comfortable than being in your comfort zone, where you can control everything and nothing gets out of control, if you'll pardon the redundancy. For Donna, this is the most wonderful thing she's experienced in the last seven years. She's a singer and radio host. At first, she only hosted a music program on the radio, but then she became a singer herself. But always within the program. All her songs were only played on that show, and nothing was published on her online channel. She loved this little musical world she had. It was just her and her microphone, without any pressure or criticism. Whoever wanted to listen to her did, and if they didn't, well, no problem, nothing that really worried her.

But in her last year on the radio program, she realized something very important. She had spent seven years singing, with all kinds of songs, but nobody really knew her. Her face didn't appear in any music news, there weren't any of her songs on social media, she wasn't trending. She had never received any awards for her music. Everything was hidden between her and her radio station's music recording studio.

No hay nada más cómodo que estar en tu zona de confort, en donde puedes controlar todo y nada se sale de control, valga la redundancia. Para Donna esto es lo más maravilloso que ha vivido en los últimos 7 años. Es una cantante y locutora de radio. Al principio solo conducía un programa de música en la radio, pero luego ella misma pasó a ser cantante. Pero siempre dentro del programa. Todas sus canciones solo se emitían en ese programa, y nada era publicado en su canal en internet. A ella le encantaba este pequeño mundo musical que tenía. Solo era ella y su micrófono, sin presión de ningún tipo y sin críticas. El que quería escucharla lo hacía y el que no pues no había problema, nada que le preocupara realmente.

Pero en su último año en el programa de radio se dio cuenta de una cosa muy importante. Había pasado 7 años cantando, con canciones de todo tipo, pero nadie en realidad la conocía. Su cara no aparecía en ninguna noticia musical, no había canciones suyas en las redes, no era tendencia. Nunca había recibido premios por su música. Todo estaba oculto entre ella y el estudio musical de grabación de su emisora.

Upon realizing this, she felt she had accomplished nothing. Seven years wasted, God knows where. Because even she didn't know what she had done with that time. The truth is, she had been so comfortable all those years that she had neglected her music career. These were the consequences of being too entrenched in her comfort zone. Although her work wasn't bad in itself, since she had enjoyed it, the problem was that she had deprived herself of enjoying herself in other places and in other ways. Music is so vast and so free that it's a shame when it remains hidden from others. Facing this reality was what motivated Donna to leave her comfort zone.

She was full of energy and eager to do different things. She felt free-spirited. Finally, she wasn't locked inside the studio all day. Everything was different, so beautiful. Before, time seemed to fly by, but now everything slowed down. She thought that if everything had gone well before, surely now everything would be rosy. But once again, reality hit her hard; leaving that comfort zone is neither easy nor simple, even with a lot of motivation.

Al darse cuenta de esto sentía que no había logrado nada. 7 años tirado a sabe dios donde. Porque ni ella sabía que había hecho con ese tiempo. La realidad es que había estado tan comoda todos esos años que había dejado de lado su carrera musical. Esas eran las consecuencias de estar demasiado en la zona de confort. Aunque su trabajo no era malo en si ya que ella lo había pasado bien, lo que pasaba es que se había privado de pasarla bien en otros lugares y de otras formas. La música es tan amplia y tan libre que es una desgracia cuando queda escondida de los demás. Enfrentar esa realidad fue lo que motivó a Donna a salir de esa zona de confort.

Tenía mucho ánimo y ganas de hacer cosas distintas. Se sentía con un espíritu libre. Por fin no estaba encerrada dentro del estudio todo el día. Todo era distinto, tan lindo. Antes el tiempo le parecía que volaba, pero ahora todo iba más despacio. Ella pensaba que si todo le había ido bien antes seguro ahora todo sería color de rosa. Pero nuevamente la realidad la golpeó, salir de esa zona de confort no es nada fácil ni sencillo aunque tengas mucha motivación.

Things weren't easy; the industry was tough and fiercely competitive. There was no room for discouragement; if you did something wrong, you'd get the same treatment in return. It wasn't the same singing for people who couldn't see you as it was for those who could, who would watch you, criticize you, give their opinions, and even try to demoralize you. Because you can't please everyone. So, unaccustomed to it, she had to learn to live with people who spoke ill of her appearance, her voice, and how she dressed. She had to learn to cope with the paparazzi and learn to create without the pressure of being better than others.

There were challenges from all sides, and Donna faced them one by one. She experienced days of sadness, days of motivation, days of anger at the criticism, and days of success. But little by little, she overcame adversity. She became a successful and seasoned singer. When she looks back, her only regret is not having done it sooner. Even so, she's still surprised by everything she had to overcome to leave her comfort zone, and although it's tough, she motivates everyone to do the same. Life is short, and as such, you have to make decisions, knowing that opportunities aren't endless.

Las cosas no fueron tan fáciles, la industria era dura y llena de competencia. No había lugar para desmotivación, si lo hacías mal, pues mal es lo que recibirías de vuelta. No era lo mismo cantar para personas que no te ven que para las que si te observan, te critican, opinan, y hasta te desmoralizan. Porque no le puedes caer bien a todos. Así que ella que no estaba acostumbrada tuvo que aprender a vivir con la gente que hablaba mal de su físico, de su voz, de cómo se vestía. Aprender convivir con los paparazis y aprender a crear sin la presión de ser mejor que otros.

Eran pruebas por todos lados, y Donna los enfrentó una a una. Hubo de por medio para ella días de tristeza, días de motivación, días de rabia por las criticas, y días de éxito. Pero poco a poco salió adelante enfrentando la adversidad. Logró ser una cantante exitosa y muy curtida. Cuando mira atrás solo le lamenta de no haberlo hecho antes. Aún así todavía le sorprende todo lo que tuvo que superar para salir de su zona de confort, aunque es duro ella motiva a todos a hacerlo. La vida es una y como tal hay que tomar las decisiones, sabiendo que las oportunidades no son infinitas.
