Libraries in the digital age

During my day secondary days, i was a book lover, i mean i was so obsessed with story books and novels. My obsession for books was so bad to the extent I'd go meet people i won't talk to on a normal day, but just because i wanted to borrow novel or storybooks from them, I'd just make them my friend for that moment.

After i left secondary school to the university, my obsession for books reduced drastically. I can't really point out what the problem was, maybe because my faculty was far from the library. During my 200 lvl days, i met a lady who is also obsessed with books. During one of our conversations, i asked
"How are you this obsessed with books and you don't go to the library?"

Then she introduced me to a digital library LIGHT READER. To be honest i preferred the digital library to the traditional library. Digital library is within everyone's reach, because we live in a world, whereby technology has evolved and everyone have access to the internet.

Most people are always busy, even the book freaks, no longer have the time to go to the library just to read books. With the help of digital library, everyone can read and have access to books online, via e-book.

First of, digital libraries offer a relaxing convenience. With just a few checks on the internet, I can easily access, a whole lots of books, articles, and research papers from the comfort of my own home or wherever i am. I don't have to go to the library, searching for parking, or waiting in line to borrow a book. Digital libraries are open always, allowing me to study and research, at my convenient time.

Here's a thing with physical libraries. The books in the physical libraries are always limited, i mean limited copies. Just assume a particular novel is just being released, everyone would like to have a copy from the library, and in this case only 50 copies are available in the library. This would really be a huge stumbling block to the rest of the people who couldn't get a copy. Here's where digital library comes it. With digital library, there's unlimited copies for books.

Digital libraries are more advanced than physical library, there's a whole lot of advancement. It's very easy to make research about books and it's authors, with digital library. But with physical libraries, making research for a particular book or an author, can be really time consuming process. involving browsing through shelves or searching through catalogs. Digital libraries, by contrast, allow me to search for keywords, authors, or topics with just typing on my keyboards. Technology just made reading very easy.

At this point in my life, i no longer read books the way i use to during my school days. Now i prefer audio books, instead of reading the article or novel word to word, i prefer listening to them. I'm always busy and always engaged with activities, i still love reading regardless. Digital library hss made it very easy for to listen to my books instead of reading them words for words. Just imagine living in this busy world without a digital library, i guess only but few people would go to the physical library.

This is why I love using peakD to read articles on hive, the audio feature just made it so fun and easy for everyone who doesn't have time for other activities. Well, physical libraries have it's own unique abilities, but i still prefer digital libraries. Digital library is a game changer for people who loves reading but their daily activities, wouldn't give the chance.

As technology keeps evolving by the day, i know digital libraries would keep getting smarter.
