Henry Busque

Hello fellow creatives, i have something new to share today and i hope you'll like it.

I created this character purely by my love for cats, i really love cats and i easily imagine them in different forms.
I wasn't sure which name to give him so i just went with Henry Busque i hope there's no one out there with that same name.😇

Henry is a martial art master and highschool teacher. He teaches Chemistry every other day of the weak and visit the dojo on weekends.
He's a good teacher and his students respect him alot, he's a really fun guy.
One of his students suggest he enters a martial arts competition in which Henry received full support from the school board and all his students to cheer him on, with his entire neighborhood rooting for him. Henry made it to the finals but threw the last match to let his opponent win; his final opponent was a college student hoping to use the prize money to fund his education.
Henry was cheered as the winner and he received a warriors belt from the judges, a red jade scarf.
Henry attended his opponent's graduation two years after.

Process shots
Stage one

I started with a quick pen sketch on paper.

Stage two

I took a picture of the sketch and redrew it on my device

Stage three

I painted his stripes with a dark brown colour.

Stage four

I give him two coloured fur coat (off white and a shade of orange)

Stage five

I jumped to painting his belt and pants with complimentary colours

Stage six

As i painted on it became more lively and bright

Stage seven

I went back to adding the shades and background to give the work depth and form.
