This is a Wild Gold tournament match match. The game has the following rule sets: Armored Up, Briar Patch, and Fire & Regret. With rule sets that hurt both melee and ranged attacks, I should focus mostly on magic attacks and protecting from magic attacks. I picked Lorkus and put Djinn Muirat in front. Next, I placed the Weapons Training combination of Grimbardun Smith, Skok Duskblight, and Will-o-Wisp. I finished the team with Baron Fyatt and Doctor Blight. They also opted for a powerful summoner for these rule sets: Immortalis. They chose Mycelic Infantry as their tank and put 3 magic monsters next: Queen Mycelia, Doctor Blight, and Goblin Psychic. The final 2 were Uloth Dhampir and Mycelic Slipspawn.

Since this was a tournament battle, I didn't have a chance to see my opponent's team before choosing the summoner tactics. I gave Life Leech and Affliction to Grimbardun Smith and Baron Fyatt. In the Ambush phase, Baron hit the Slipspawn. Because of the Void from Immortalis, my Magic Reflect wasn't doing anything. They killed my Djinn in round 1 but it got Resurrected. Baron also Halved their ranged monster. I was able to stick the Affliction on their Taunt. In round 2, they finished my Djinn, but I was able to stick the Poison on the Slipspawn. Grimbardun Smith wasn't taking any damage from the magic attacks and only Infantry and Uloth could hurt it. Since it had Life Leech, once I took out Infantry, in round 4, they couldn't kill my guy anymore. It was a slow game but I was able to finish it by round 8.
