Battle of the Day #148

This is a ranked Diamond match. The game had the following rule sets: Fog of War, Wands Out, and Counterspell. The game had a 14 mana cap, and only Earth and Fire were available. I went with Obsidian commanding the units Blackmoor Nymph, Thunderhof Nomad, and Doctor Blight. They opted for Immortalis with just Regal Peryton and Thunderhof Nomad.

In round 1, my Nymph went down, but their Regal was put to 1 HP. And I didn't trigger the Poison. In the second one, Regal died to the Magic Reflect. My Nomad attacked first because of the higher level. It put their Nomad to 2 HP before getting eliminated. That was enough for Doctor Blight to finish the game.

Usually, in Wands Out, I like to use Immortalis and Goblin Psychic, but there was not enough mana for a team like that. Immortalis is extremely strong in the combination of Wands Out and Counterspell but placing 3 units instead of just 2, proved to be the winning strategy.
