Splinterlands Social Media Challenge: Special counter strategy - Simple Abilities Win
Greetings,
Happy start of the weekend if you get the chance to read this publication as soon as it appears on your favorite blog list.
How are you doing, great Splinter of the game?
I pray that you have joined the presale and obtained so far as many packs as you planned.
This social media challenge has a simple and tricky lineup to spark much reflection on the small details that cause a great team to lose his advantage on the battlefield.
I hope you will find this lineup as much entertaining as rich in lessons for your personal strategies construction in Splinterlands.
Let see the setup in the arena....
--
Rulesets
Units with magic hit first armor before health points
Only Unit with even mana allowed in the arena
Rare and common units can enter the board
Mana value: 22

A. Restriction to big players
As I was searching for the implication of the rulesets in this battle. I found that the selection of heavy players in Diamond League will suffer serious reduction in firepower.
Rises of common put a cap to the level of damage one can distribute in this high league combat. I was happy when I saw the limitation on magic attacks. This set with rise of common leads to the selection of excessive use of magic warrior in normal situation.
It is important to mention the mana restriction, with only 22 for all the seven warriors in one part of the board of this arena.

It is an impressive selection with Shieldpaw as a summoner ready to heal all friendly warriors on the board. The single problem I had with selection was the selection of magic fighter in the group, knowing that the weak magic was activated in the ruleset.
It is now time to get a look at the opposing forces on the battlefield. What elements are going to make the difference to secure either victory or suffer a calm lost.

Quix is on the command in the group of dragon and light element warriors in the arena.
The reduction of speed to all enemy on the battleground was the first advantage of the selection fighting for the light.

B. Deep comprehension of the Bright Light of Quix selection
Quix came with most interesting abilities to counter the enemy in this set of combat. The limitation of speed and archer offensive potential diminished put the Shieldpaw warriors in a not so good situation right from start in this combat.
The first round began with the net advantage of firepower on the Quix team. The inner composition of the Light team showed the Martyr and Inspire abilities that sealed the fate of Shieldpaw company.

C. Finale Fought
Shieldpaw had a smart line of great abilities. The factors that change the game were the addition of one melee attack to all Quix friendly warriors on the board, then the activation of Martyr created a gap that could not be ignored on the battlefield.
I like the healing and scavenge potential on the defensive side of the Shieldpaw selection. In a combat where everything point to limit your lineup on the offensive side before the game start, I will suggest conducting a priority choice on the selection of the best offensive boost cards in the available warriors for this type of game.

Do you find this lineup on the Quix part of the board the highly competitive combination for this battle?
If you have in mind a better choice of cards to surprise Quix lineup, I will be very happy to try it.
It happens that I got all the cards in the Quix selection except Vruz.
