Splinterlands Social Media Challenge: Sacred & Baby Unicorn Fantastic Melee devastation

It is a beautiful day here on the beginning of the weekend and the countdown to Conclave is getting closer to zero.
The excitement is building up so it is proper to share with you during this unique moment, the battle of the week.

This epic combat where melee has the favor of the ruleset in the arena will show you the beauty of Wild format cards in a circumstance where new released warriors add special abilities to the game plan.

Let's explore the warrior's action on the board

Melee units only can access the board

All cards on the board have opportunity ability

Can not call to the arena neutral units

Mana value: 51

Powerful show of power on both sides

The absence of neutral cards on the board did not reduce the willingness of the players to put on the board the best cards in their collection. Melee warriors with as second type of attack had their place on the battlefield.
The splinter who do not have these dual type of attack is not going to survive very long in this Champion League style of combat.

Warriors in the arena had enough fire power to crush any team from a lower level than Diamond II.

The selection of the summoner Kitty really show the importance of speed in this combat. I would have selected one of the repair shield warriors in my collection of cards to challenge the opposition on the board.

I was not sure that the Dragon Fire element selection was go to succeed, but the presence of Vruz and Martyr gave me some assurance.

The combat started with the activation of Martyr right after the first round was completed in this combat. Dragon and Vigilator had their double attacks boosted to the point, one strike of these two warriors could destroy more than 12 points on the opposite side.

You have probably seen on the team of dragons and Light elemental warriors that certain cards looked similar. These two powerful warriors of the light had impressive ability and can heal as easily as their speed can cause the enemy to miss direct attacks.

It looks like the addition of melee attack from Silvershield gave enough weapons to the Light team to surpass the offensive charge from the opposite line of Fire warriors.

Unicorn Baby and Sacred had the divine shield, terrific speed and trampled as abilities against the enemy.
This combination of cards with Silvershield was the perfect offensive strategy in the arena. The enemy position was destroyed round after round with no effective blow back.

Finale Fought

The speed in the arena was in the favor of Dragon light team on the board. What happen was Kitty generous support of friendly cards on the board boosted all cards rapid operation and some healing.
The additional speed came from Baby Unicorn. On top of this slight difference of both parties on the board, the addition of one melee attack came from Silvershield.
Shieldbearer was way more solid as Tanker than Lava.

The result was the rapid destruction of the Fire dragon team. It was smart to bring the Martyr ability in the Fire Camp, but the boost from Vruz death could not save his team.

This Champion League combat is the expression of pure mastery of selection of warrior and adaptation in the arena.
