I hope you are making interesting progress in Splinterlands as a card collector or investor in the tokens.

The release of the Soulbound arcana warriors in the game has kept me busy and the discovery of the card's potential is the key factor of this research.

As soon as the player knows the right cards to level up to support his battle plan in the arena, you can save time and perform well on the battlefield.

Make no mistake, the competition is active searching for the same gems in the market of cards.

In this edition of the community engagement challenge, let us see the performance of Chuma Marandu in the arena.

A /. Interesting Chuma Warrior characteristic

Chuma is a legendary melee warrior from the dragon type. Chuma can be added to all category of element at the only condition that the summoner is a dragon.

My friend told me about this warrior who can nullify protective abilities such as deflect and void armor. I got interested and took a bet to see in action this card before any plan to purchase this asset.

Here is the first battle where Chuma showed the potential of his status of legendary warrior in Splinterlands.

Akane presence on the battlefield allowed Chuma to play boldly with a water team against fire warriors.

B /. Cards disposition on the battlefield

Ambush ability were given to allied card in the team of Akane. No magic cards were present in the arena. The most protected cards on the armor side could feel safe in this set.

I found that the enemy had more cards in the arena compared to the water dragon team.
The mana consumption of warriors like Slade and Marandu can penalize your offensive operations.

Nidghoggr		Refugee
Forager		Hucker
Vorst		Tidal

Despite the absence of magic attacks on the battlefield, the melee attacks from Akane side of the board could not surpass the defense of Forager and massive attacks from Vorst.

C /. Strategy at play in this battle

It is interesting to see the new card release in action to explore the maximum weakness on the side of team combination or the defense against enemy attacks.

I believe that the melee warrior with such high mana could only be called in a battle where the total mana demand exceed 45.

In the case you need more warriors to protect the health point and the armor repair on the Chuma position as the enemy pound your position, the lack of mana represent a serious inefficiency in any combat strategy with Marandu.

D /. Series of Battle & decryption of Chuma role

The presence of Chuma in the arena is not a common event to find in the battle history. I realized that this card has just appeared in the game so many players are still experimenting with the right combo that will boost the efficacy of Chuma in the arena.

In this battle, Xiao command the action of Chuma in the arena. Although the limited action of magic attack was defined by the ruleset, melee offensive like Chuma attack did not pierce through the thick defense of the enemy.

• One more battle where Chuma fought for his team

Chuma appearance in the arena for the second phase of this story shows the courage of the Splinter who put Chuma against one of the best team in the game.

Equalizer rocket shot the life point of all cards in the arena to the roof but the element against was fire death warrior under Lorkus direction.
Magic attacks rapidly weakened the defense of Chuma comrade. It was over when Chuma got stopped by Wayfinder.

Battle with mana higher than 45 is one chance to build a good support to Chuma in this complex role of melee striker.

The Chuma team did not succeed to control the balance of power in the arena. It was clear that the weakness of Chuma against magic warriors is a serious element to take in consideration when Splinters decide to add a large mana warrior such Chuma in their teams.
