Hello again and welcome back to my Splinterlands blog, it's Easter Sunday today so it's about time to make my second Splinterlands blog post for this week to help fund my account with because in two days the pre sale for the new Splinterlands core set called Conclave Arcana will launch, and with today's post, I want to talk a bit more about that because it marks a whole new era for many, if not all players.

Excitement is flowing trough the Splinterlands community, which can be seen in both token prices, DEC is close to it's 1000 DEC equals $1 peg value and the price of the SPS token has pumped over 100% in the last 14 days. With DEC close to peg, it now gets interesting to burn SPS for DEC - lowering the selling pressure for SPS, which will raise the price of SPS even more - giving more incentive to burn SPS for DEC and on and on, it's what it called the flywheel getting activated and it's already starting, great times ahead!

What Excites Me About Conclave Arcana?

The introduction of Conclave Arcana is set to revamp the Modern format by rotating out the Chaos Legion set, which will transition to the Wild format. This change is expected to diversify game play and encourage new strategies, providing a fresh landscape for both seasoned players and newcomers.

Moreover, the set's innovative pack structure is great wide range of players:

Standard Packs: Priced at 4,000 DEC or credits ($4), offering a familiar experience.

Legendary Packs: At 24,000 DEC or credits ($24), these packs guarantee at least one Legendary card.

Alchemist Packs: Costing 12,000 DEC or credits ($12), ensuring at least one Gold Foil card.

Starter Packs: For 1,000 DEC or credits ($1), these packs contain 5 common and rare cards, making them ideal for new players.

For most 'normal' players like myself, the special value packs are too expensive so I will be just going for the standard packs. I will have the 40k DEC ready to participate in the pre sale, this is the minimum amount to get a guaranteed promo card which is always a strong card, for the Rebellion set this was Grimbardun Smith, for me it's a way to get the promo card as a bonus as well as participate in the pre sales to support the company.

These are the two promo cards which can be 'earned' by either buying 40k DEC worth of packs to get Arcana Skinwalker, or buy 400k DEC to get Gramel the Hungerer. Spending $400 is too much for me because I'm also focusing on expanding my Splinterlands land plots and we can only spend our money once, choices have to be made every day!

Some card reveals

Card reveals are already happening by the content creators, and I've already seen some pretty amazing cards like this one:

Since I will be playing in Silver League after the rotation I can only use legendary cards at level one or two, as a level one this is a very strong card but due to the low Health Points it's really a glass cannon, hopefully there will be some new taunt unit we can use to protect it with, and I can always use the taunt ability from my Rebellion summoner Risqruel Drath.

Most cards I found on X didn't have the stats per level displayed with them so they're displayed as a max level, and while that's the most important for the top players, I want to see the Silver level stats if I need this card.

The epic life card Auroral Elemental is interesting as well, my Elias Max Pruitt will give it one extra melee attack and at silver level this card will bring +2 armor so armored strike does more damage, great synergy with the Rebellion set, good work Splinterlands team, I love it!

Another reveal I found is a common Fire monster, and it's another glass cannon with only 3 Health Points at silver level, having two magic damage makes this a nice card for the Little League ruleset, I am very excited to see all new combinations and synergies we can come up with.

How do you think this set will impact your personal strategy?

Well, it's going to be HUGE, I think it will be for everyone but especially for the players like myself, currently playing with a 'cheap' Chaos Legion set in the upper regions, we can't afford this high level play anymore so we will be forced to play in the lower leagues or transfer to Wild League.
I want to keep participating in Modern League myself, and I was a Silver player for most of my Splinterlands career anyway so I don't mind at all, and because I'm not the only one facing this problem, I hope and expect the lower leagues will be player by a lot more people again.

Currently I'm manually playing two accounts in Diamond, this will change to only one manual account and leave the other one to XBOT in wild, giving me some more time for other things, or maybe bring another account online to help our second guild fill brawl frays as long as this is needed by the lack of enough active players.
