Hey everyone, time flies when you're having fun, but also when you're busy! Yet another Splinterlands season is about to end with just over five hours left from making this post so it's about time to make another season report so I can track and look back on earnings, performance and progression.

How was this season for you? I feel this is the firs season with the new modern set-up I am finally catching up and do a better job in making teams in my mind because I remember the new cards, abilities and mana values now, not all but at least it's enough to make a battle plan rather than just pick a team, hopefully this also will be visible in the numbers compared to last season, let's take a look!

So, this season I have not played as much battles as last season, 358 vs. 397 and this is just because real life sometimes gets in the way, when I have a busy workday and I'm tired my performance is terrible and it's really just a waste of team so I rather skip a day, it's a game that's supposed to bring entertainment after all. 😃

I was right, my win rate has gone up from 46.9% to 48.6% and I know this is still not great but when you consider I'm playing with a Silver deck in Diamond 2 at the moment plus I don't own either Tofu or Lorkus, so meeting any of them or meeting an opponent with a higher level deck which is a common thing this high in the rating already gives me a disadvantage.

Playing less battles also means less glint, the small increase is win rate isn't enough to offset that so I went from 214k glint last season to 192k now.

What to do with the glint though, since the only reward cards I still need to level up are the legendary Sergeant Grauzral and the Warborn Chieftain, but what are the odds in pulling the right ones when I buy legendary draws? Last season I started to buy Major chests to try out my luck, and I got a shit load of merits which is pretty nice, my Gladiator cards are not max for Silver as well but I really think for players that are really close to maxing their set at a certain league level there should be an option to buy the cards you NEED, I don't mind paying triple the amount of a legendary draw when I can just choose the right one.

Looking at my SPS bag for this account, I went from 31.345 to 32.631 a 1286 increase, this is brawls and ranked play, with the declined value of SPS today that's $11.18 but I'm renting 50k additional SPS, that's costing me $0.70 every season.

Is botting worth it, now the wild pass is back to the 2000 DEC we need to buy every season? This depends on many things, when you need to buy the wild pass AND rent SPS AND rent the cards, I can already tell you, it's probably not worth it at current SPS price but this also changes when SPS value increases over time, and we all hope this will happen some day, right!?

Because before the rotation I was manually playing two accounts in modern with Chaos Legion decks, I now have two accounts run by bots, one with a Diamond level deck, and one with a Gold level deck, let's look at @ne9en first which is piloted by Archmage with a standard token so it takes 35% away from my SPS earnings.

Since last season for the Wild league was free to play, I think many players released their alt accounts in it to grind some extra rewards, now they're gona again so what remains are fully filled, more competitive decks and BOY that makes a difference in the win rate!

The win rate plummeted from 57.7% to 45.8% plus the total battles are about 70 lower as well, this can only mean one thing: less earnings!

So, the glint rewards dropped from 140k total to 106k total.

SPS earnings increased from 199 SPS last season to 245 SPS this season, probably because less players are now sharing the same reward pool which means higher SPS rewards for every win but this also includes my guilds brawls and we did pretty well!

So, is it worth it - even if I own the cards?

I've spent 1400 DEC in renting SPS this season, (but my SPS rentals are still running in to the new season)
I've spent 2000 DEC on the wild pass.

I've earned $2.12 in SPS at current SPS price, so this is a loss of $1.28 for this season which isn't a problem at all for me, I'm believing in a higher SPS price and with this account I can support my guild in brawls as well so they can earn more SPS, plus I am still collecting glint to level up my reward cards - not even a $2 investment in to this account isn't a bad thing for me.

Main bot account with about 95K owned SPS

Let's take a lot at yet another situation, this account owns all the cards and it has a 95k SPS bag (well, a little more but I'm delegating 13k to my modern account). first let's take a look at what's changed in its performance, this account is piloted by Xbot.

The decline is win rate isn't as big as the Archmage account, but that can be explained by the high level reward set this account owns, it dropped from 53% to 50.7% it also played 50 less battles as last season, maybe this season is one or two days shorter?

Xbot reached Champion 3 again just like last season, last season Xbot earned a whopping 315k glint for this account, vs. 270k this season.

My SPS bag went from 106.235 last season to 107.148, an increase of 913 SPS.

Let's do the math again to see if this account is net positive...

I've spent 1400 DEC in SPS rentals, because this account is playing in a much higher league, I'm still renting an additional 100k SPS just like for my other bot account.

I've spent 2000 DEC on the Wild pass.

I've earned 913 SPS, at current SPS price worth $7.94 - so this account IS earning me money already ($4.54 plus a lot of glint), even with today's low price of SPS, without making season reports I wouldn't have realized this and now I maybe think about renting more SPS to boost the earnings in the last week to test this.
