Ultimate Tank against Mylor Crowling using Chaos Legion

“It is important to draw wisdom from different places. If you take it from only one place, it becomes rigid and stale.” – Iroh
LORE

The Molten Ash Golems are birthed from a creature known as the Forgotten One. Created by the High Magus of the Crypteia and serving as his personal servant, the Forgotten One is a fiery beast of might and malice.
The Forgotten One's great power sometimes spills over, leaving trails of molten ash in its wake. And within these beats the strong enchantments the Magus originally put on his Forgotten One. Within a day, these piles of burning ash become sentient.
Rising from the ground and forming into loose humanoid shapes, these Molten Ash Golems have only one desire. Find their creator. They will travel the lands searching for the Forgotten One, never tiring and never needing to stop. Once reunited with their source, they serve faithfully for as long as they continue to burn.

STATS

Molten Ash Golem has low stats for a damage monster but pretty high as a tank. He's an HP tank which excels at blocking the opponent's damage as your team deal your own.

ABILITIES
Level 1 - Level 4 ||

Level 5 - Level 7 ||

Level 8 - Level 8 ||

|| Can perform ranged attacks from the first position
This allows your ranged creatures to attack in the first position. That's as simple as that.
|| Reduces the Melee attack of all enemy Monsters by 1.
Really good debuff since the benchmark of a "good" damage is actually 2. This makes the "good" cards bad.
|| Reduces the Health of all enemy Monsters by 1.
This is the best debuff in the game. There's no other better way to reduce your opponent's stats by reducing their health. Lower health means less damage required to kill them.

Rent/Buy Cost
This is the rental cost of Molten Ash Golem at the time of writing this article.

Being a member of Chaos Legion, the rental price is really low right now. If you're not using high level cards, you can use this for free without renting.

For only a few cents, you can own a copy of this card. I don't want to recommend something that is not good so I would like to say that this card is good but there might be better options. The main purpose of the tank is to withstand damage for the team. The problem is that fire element does not have low level healers. So, if you're planning to buy one of these, make sure you have high leveled summoner that can use a neutral card with tank heal that can be partnered with this card. Otherwise, the level 1 is best.

Advantageous Rules:
This rule set does not provide a huge advantage but any advantage is a blessing.
Given that Molten Ash Golem runs on 1 speed, reverse speed is an apparent boost as it helps him get a few dodges along with his amazing health.
Disadvantageous Rules:
There's no worse debuff than when you're not allowed to use a monster. Broken Arrows does not allow any monster with ranged damage to be played completely making Molten Ash Golem unavailable for the battle.
This is a soft debuff for Molten Ash Golem which if Close Range ability was removed, he's not allowed to attack while being the main tank. However, he still keeps his high health so you can still use him as a blocker. Kind of think of him as Peaceful Giant with one more HP when he takes up the front.

Compatibility
This card doesn't have any preferred combos. I normally use him when I'm not allowed to use melee in the battle and uses him as the main tank.

This is a replay of how I use this card and taking advantage of his great ability.

I used Tarsa Summoner because the Health gain is still better than Speed.

Positioning

Molten Ash Golem taking the front with other ranged and one mage card. This is a no melee match up with no heals allowed. I always like adding one mage in case my opponent uses any shield ability as their main tank.
Round 1:

By end of Round 1, he's already at the last monster he employed. 4 of the beginning monsters died because my opponent doesn't have a decent tank. It would be impossible for him to win at this rate.
Round 2:

Game immediately ended at round 2 turn 4 when Goblin Tower got destroyed.

Final Remarks
Molten Ash Golem may not be the best tank but he can be a good backup for when your main tanks are not allowed.
