Tenyii Striker, Samurai of the New Century

New Chaos Legion Cards are not necessarily strong. It's in the way we players handle them that they become strong. In Splinterlands, there's no magical card that can win you every battle. Tactics always beat stats. Not necessarily that you have the most expensive cards that you're assured of winning but the coherence of the cards you have allows your best men to shine.
LORE

A dozen generations sandwiched between the hammer of the Khans' cruelty and the anvil of the icy foothills of Kurguzd forged the Tenyii into reclusive deadly foes. Brought to the training creche from birth, taught to steal for food, beaten when caught and trained daily with the sword and spear as soon as they were strong enough for their hands to lift steel, the Tenyii clan were hard as iron and as fierce and silent as midnight on the mountain glacier.
When the Legion's heralds demanded a sacrifice of flesh and gold to open the rifts to the ways beyond, the Khan sent five hundred waadin berserkers to bring the tribe to heel. When a single horse returned bearing a sack of fifty skulls, the Khan threatened to burn the entire mountain to the ground. A dozen Tenyii Strikers were sent as tribute to spare the tribes and to satisfy the herald's call.

STATS

Tenyii Striker has amazing stats with his 2 damage and 6 health. That means he has a lot of options like being a secondary tank or back line tank (placing on the last position to block Sneak Ability.) The only downside is a bit high mana cost of 5. Other than that, extremely amazing.

ABILITIES
Level 1 - Level 3 ||

Level 4 - Level 6 ||

Level 7 - Level 8 ||

|| Targets the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster.
This is the best ability for a melee user. This allows the creature to attack while not on 1st position. If your opponent doesn't place a backline blocker, this would be a great ability to kill everyone at the backline.
|| Has a 25% increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks.
This ability is just an extra. A cheddar on a pizza or cherry on an ice cream. It's good but it's not game breaking. I do like this ability on Tenyii Striker because of the next ability when you level him up to 7.
|| If an enemy misses this Monster with an attack, the attacker takes 2 damage.
Now, Backfire with Dodge is quite a combo. Backfire inflicts 2 damage after any dodge. That's like a counter when your opponent miss and Dodge Ability increases that miss rate by 25%. A really great combo to Dodge and speed at higher levels.

Rent/Buy Cost
This is the rental cost of Tenyii Striker at the time of writing this article.

Tenyii Striker is a free to play Chaos Legion card. As usual, free to play cards are cheap for rentals and purchase because of abundance of supply. If you're not planning to use it on higher level, the free one is enough to sustain you for the meantime. There's no reason for renting a level 1 Tenyii Striker if you can already play a level 1 version for free.
This is the purchasing cost of Tenyii Striker at the time of writing this article.

As stated, those with abundance of supply costs really cheap. Right now, it's free to play but that may not be the case in the future. If you like the card as much as I am, buy a copy so that when the rotation on the free to play cards changed, you can still play Tenyii Striker without any worries.

Advantageous Rules:
This acts both as a positive and a negative. However, any effect that lets you sustain being in the back row longer, is a positive. This allows you to not be bursted. This also helps your whole team not to die in a few shots.
Same as Armored Up. If you have someone who has higher health, this takes priority and increases Tenyii Striker's health allowing him to survive more hits.
This allows your snipers, opportunists, and sneaks God mode. They hit more monsters which allows you to provide less hits to other monsters. This is an advantage to sneaks in the sense that normally, the back row or the monsters not in the first position are squishy and have low health in the first place. This allows your sneaks to take out two at a time.
Disadvantageous Rules:
Fog of War strips you with your ability. If your opponent doesn't use snipers or sneaks, then you're the only one affected. It's clear why this is a disadvantage when using Tenyii Striker.
A worse kind of Fog of War. This strips ALL of the monsters on board, including your opponent, of their abilities. You'll just have to fight without skills and hope for the best.
I put this as a disadvantage because Tenyii Striker has no inherent ability to negate this. However, you can employ Brighton Bloom in order to counter this effect.

Compatibility
This card is compatible with all cards but most with an all melee team. Cards like inspire or Summoners like Tarsa improves this card's ability a lot.

Positioning

The best position for Tenyii Striker is either as a secondary tank or at the back as a sneak blocker. In this game, I used him in 3rd position because I have someone who have a reach ability which requires that monster to be on the 2nd position for him to attack.
Round 1:

By end of Round 1, Horny Toad dies from my back line strikers leaving Elven Defender alone in the battle.
Round 2:

By end of Round 2, Elven Defender is down to 1 health making my win on sight.
Round 3:

Game ended on Round 3 without making a dent on my monsters.

Final Remarks
Tenyii Striker is probably one of the strongest fire element card. With his high health and damage, he can be put in different positions depending on the situation. His compatibility with Tarsa is also unquestionable having 3 total damage for a back lane attacker.
