The music industry has changed so much since I started writing and releasing my own original music. During my time as a session musician and drummer throughout the early 90s and into the 00s, all we had was Vinyl, Cassette and CD capabilities. I remember leaving the studio in 1993 with a TDK C90

It was an amazing achievement and I rushed home, Cassette tape in hand and played it to my proud family and friends.
A few years later when the band had made a little more money, we finally released a CD! We were the happiest group of musicians and felt like a big deal in the local music scene.

Fast forward to the mid/late 2000s and the advent of streaming and Mp3s, which disrupted the industry further, and possibly even more than the humble Compact Disc.

We now find ourselves in this unbelievable new world of NFTs, Play2Earn games like the awesome @splinterlands , Cryptocurrencies and endless Metaverse star-ups promising us a fun, better and safer way of life. To see how far we've come as a 40 something musician and songwriter, is truly astonishing and I can't imagine what it will look like in another few years from now, the mind boggles from the sheer posibilities; Holograms, RFID bracelets and virtual reality — These new technologies will have a profound impact on the way we experience live music events.

Back to today January 3rd 2022 and our NFT Tunz platform.
