The Eve of Splinterlands Land Phase 1.75: Preparing for the Shockwave

The Night Before.png

As the launch of Phase 1.75 in Splinterlands land approached, I found myself in a mix of anticipation, excitement, and just a little bit of FOMO. Over the past few days, that feeling has only intensified, as I remain convinced that the shock to the economy will be far greater than many expect. The shift in land mechanics and resource production is about to create a major impact, and I wanted to make sure I was as prepared as possible before the update goes live.

Last-Minute Adjustments: A Strategic Shift

In the final days before the launch, I decided to revert my Research plots back to Grain production. Initially, I had planned on continuing heavy Research, but after looking deeper into the numbers, I realized that the cost of producing specialized resources like Research and SPS would be far more than expected. Instead of burning through scarce resources early on, I refocused my approach to maximize efficiency.

Magical plots will be assigned to Research since these plots naturally boost production, making them the best choice for specialized output. Occupied plots will be dedicated to SPS production, as they tend to yield the best returns.

By adjusting my land strategy, I also set myself up to start producing the new natural resources as early as possible. These new materials will be extremely scarce at launch, and I suspect they will hold tremendous early value in the economy.

Entering the Merchant Game

One of my key focuses with this new phase is getting involved in the market pools. If the resource economy develops the way I anticipate, there will be some serious opportunities to generate value, especially in the first few days when scarcity is at its peak.

I plan to monitor the pools closely during the first weekend after launch and make my first moves as a merchant within the Splinterlands economy. This is something I haven't fully explored before, but given how the ecosystem is shifting, it feels like the right time to mix things up and see where this new strategy leads.

A New Era for Splinterlands

Beyond land, other major updates in gameplay are rolling out alongside this phase, making this one of the biggest turning points in Splinterlands' history. The combination of land production changes and gameplay economy shifts will likely reshape the entire market in ways that are hard to predict.

For me, this update isn’t just about optimizing my land—it’s about adapting to a new economic landscape and finding ways to thrive in the evolving ecosystem. There will undoubtedly be adjustments, market fluctuations, and learning curves, but that’s what makes this phase so exciting.

Now, with all my last-minute land changes in place, all that’s left is to sit back, watch the economy unfold, and jump into action when the opportunities arise. Phase 1.75, let’s go!
