The Best Pull of My Conclave Arcana Opening – Mint #1 Black Foil Filthy Scavenger

Every time Splinterlands drops a new edition, there's always that thrill—the chase for that one card that makes all the difference. But this time, with Conclave Arcana, the excitement hit a whole new level. Between the multiple pack types, the introduction of Black Foil cards, and the live global notifications that shout out special pulls across the game, the pack-opening experience has become something far more engaging than ever before.

It’s the kind of update that makes you second-guess logging off… or convince yourself to open just one more pack.

And while I’ve been cautiously pacing my DEC investment across different pack types, I can’t complain at all. In fact, I may have just pulled the best card I’ve ever gotten in a pack—not just from Conclave Arcana, but from any edition to date.

I am now the proud owner of the Mint #1 Black Foil Legendary card: Filthy Scavenger.

I’ve always considered myself more of a collector than a flipper. I appreciate the utility of cards for battle and land, but I’ve never been someone who chased after #1 mints or obsessed over owning the very first of anything. That said, I have to admit—this one feels special. Seeing the “#1” tag next to such a powerful Legendary card in Black Foil… it just hits differently.

Filthy Scavenger, with its grim aesthetic and battlefield versatility, was already one of the more intriguing cards in the set. But as a Mint #1 Black Foil, its value (emotional and strategic) has skyrocketed for me. Whether I keep it or not, it's a piece of Splinterlands history that I pulled directly from a pack—a direct reward for the effort and DEC I put into the PreSale.

Of course, I’ve asked myself the question that many collectors do in moments like this: Do I hold it… or do I list it?

I’ve considered putting it on the market—not because I want to part ways with it, but because I know what it could enable. A fair price on this card could fuel a massive leap forward in my land development, offer resources to chase other must-have cards, or even complete more of my Conclave Arcana set.

It’s not about maximizing ROI. It’s about maximizing fun, strategy, and long-term progress. And honestly, as much as I love the card, it’s tough to ignore what selling it could unlock for me.

That said, I’m in no rush. The marketplace still hasn’t settled on how to properly value low-mint cards, especially with the set still in its early days. Hype and demand haven’t peaked yet, and this Black Foil tier is still being digested by the community.

So, for now, I’m just enjoying the moment. Mint #1 in my Collection. A legendary card in every sense of the word. Proof that the chase is real, and sometimes, you actually catch it.

Whether I keep it, list it, or stake it on land, one thing is clear: Filthy Scavenger is the best pull of my Conclave Arcana journey so far.
