Splinterlands Land Phase 1.75: A Smooth Transition and New Market Insights

Now that Phase 1.75 has successfully launched in Splinterlands, I can take a step back and assess how my land strategy is playing out. While many players were caught off guard by the economic shifts brought by the introduction of new resources, I find myself exactly where I expected to be. This reinforces my belief that the changes are functioning as intended—moving the game’s economy toward a more balanced supply-and-demand structure.

Observing the Early Market Dynamics

As anticipated, Grain prices have remained low, given the abundance of supply. However, the new resources are holding their value much better due to their initial scarcity. This was the core of my strategy when I shifted my land away from Research and SPS production back to Grain ahead of the update. Having a solid base of Grain allows me to sustain my production while also keeping an eye on potential arbitrage opportunities.

One unexpected development, though, is the relative inactivity in the trade hub pools for these new resources. I had assumed there would be a mad rush of trading and speculation, but so far, the action has been more subdued than expected. This suggests that more players were actually prepared for the update than I initially believed, which contradicts a lot of the panic and uncertainty I’ve been seeing in online discussions.

Too Busy to Take Advantage… For Now

Unfortunately, work has kept me busy enough that I haven’t been able to dive into the market as aggressively as I would have liked. There may be opportunities I’m missing, particularly since I’m well-positioned with a strong supply of Grain and even some of the new resources. The market is still settling, though, so I expect new trends to emerge in the coming days and weeks.

Next Steps in My Land Strategy

While I haven’t made any major moves just yet, I’ll eventually carve out time to analyze the trade hub more closely and decide on the best course of action. Whether that means taking a more active role in trading or doubling down on production, I’ll be sure to document my next steps here.

For now, I’m just enjoying the fact that Phase 1.75 launched smoothly and that my preparation is paying off. The land economy is evolving in real time, and I’m excited to see where this all leads as Splinterlands continues to grow.
