Racing for Midnight Potions: My Splinterlands Land Strategy for Conclave Arcana
To get ahead of the curve, I converted all of my Magical plots from Research to Aura production immediately after the update went live. The results? Better than expected.
With my current setup, I’m on pace to produce 18 Midnight Potions per hour.
Assuming I maintain this configuration leading up to pack opening day, I’ll be able to craft around 5,748 Midnight Potions. That’s enough to open approximately 1,150 packs at full potion efficiency!
Of course, I won’t have that many packs at launch. Like many land-focused players, my funds have been heavily allocated to infrastructure and development, so my ability to acquire a large number of packs right away is limited. But this opens up another opportunity: the marketplace.
Given the resource cost and time required to produce Midnight Potions, not everyone will be in a position to craft their own. And let’s face it—few will want to open Conclave Arcana packs without the best odds for Black Foils. This could create a scarcity of potions right when demand is highest, driving up prices and making it a seller’s market.
That’s where my setup may give me a serious edge.
Even if I don’t open all the packs myself, I’ll have a valuable resource that could command a strong premium early on. This is the perfect scenario for players who enjoy operating with a merchant mentality within the Splinterlands economy. By leaning into land mechanics and preparing for these shifts, I’ve positioned myself not just as a player, but as a supplier.
It’s moments like these that show the real depth of the game’s ecosystem. Every update brings new layers of strategy, from gameplay to economics. Conclave Arcana and Midnight Potions have already changed the landscape—and I’m ready to meet that demand head-on.
This could be the next step in evolving my role in Praetoria. Not just as a collector or battler, but as a true land-based merchant ready to seize the opportunities that come with being prepared.

You will purchase standard packs?, because midnight potions are meant to be paired with alchemy packs, for standars aren't worthy at all.
I bought 120 of each. Funny fact is that I got 2 out of 4 Black Foils in my Standard packs!
